Moving to Bali, I expected sunshine, beaches, and tropical living. Yet I didn’t expect how much my skin would struggle with the humidity, sun exposure, and even changes in my routine.
Breakouts, sunspots, and sudden flare-ups became part of my daily life, and no amount of skincare products seemed to do the trick.
That’s when I realized that I needed more than a good moisturizer. I needed a dermatologist in Bali who understood both medical treatments and the unique skin challenges people face here.
Luckily, the island has some excellent clinics with specialists who help locals, expats, and travelers look after their skin properly. I’ve narrowed down the best ones so you don’t have to spend weeks figuring it out.
How much do dermatologists charge in Bali?
Dermatologists in Bali typically charge IDR 250,000 to IDR 700,000 (around $15-45), depending on the clinic, location, and the doctor’s expertise. However, private hospitals or specialist visits can cost more, often between IDR 1,000,000 and 1,300,000 ($65-85+).

When I first noticed dark pigmentation and sunspots from Bali’s intense heat, I sought a clinic that combined medical expertise with modern treatments. That’s how I came across Martha Fang Skin Clinic in Seminyak.
Their pigmentation treatments were the standout for me. From clarifying chemical peels to Pico laser sessions starting around IDR 3,500,000, they deliver noticeable results.
I also tried a Silk Peel microdermabrasion (IDR 150,000 – 1,500,000), which left my skin feeling brighter.
What I really like is how the clinic balances advanced aesthetic procedures with small surgical options like mole removal and cryotherapy, all in a boutique, comfortable setting.
But when I later consulted them for an eczema flare-up, I realized their focus leans heavily on aesthetics rather than broader medical dermatology. They excel in cosmetic treatments, but if you require long-term care for chronic skin conditions, you may want to consider alternatives.

I like having different dermatologists for different concerns. Now that I’m aging, I know I’ll need more than just sunscreen and serums. Botox and treatments targeting aging skin have become part of my routine, which is why I went to NMW.
Their dermatology and aesthetic services are designed for visible results, from fillers to Botox and advanced laser therapies. On top of that, they also offer full plastic surgery procedures, including breast surgery, body contouring, rhinoplasty, and facial reshaping.
What impressed me most was their use of FDA-approved InMode devices, which are known for precise skin tightening, contouring, and rejuvenation. It gave me confidence that they keep up with the latest technology.
Still, I personally keep Martha Fang Skin Clinic in my mix because NMW doesn’t cover everything. They don’t highlight non-surgical skincare treatments, such as facials or chemical peels, and their aftercare or long-term follow-up isn’t clearly detailed.

The next clinic on my list is not one I’ve personally tried, but I plan to after hearing about it from a friend. She swears by their treatments, saying it’s where she finally saw a difference in redness and recurring breakouts.
Those issues often flare up after too much sun exposure or stress. Seeing her results made me curious to put this place at the top of my “next to try” list.
I love that Upscale Bali focuses on non-invasive aesthetics led by Dr. Liana Susanti, who has over 13 years of experience.
Their specialties include acne treatments, Botox, laser rejuvenation, and tech-driven options like HIFU, EndyMed radiofrequency, and thread lifts.
However, they don’t provide surgical options, such as non-surgical body contouring, and they don’t cover deeper medical dermatology, including chronic skin conditions.
It’s also worth noting that their details about aftercare or long-term treatment plans aren’t highlighted in their promotions.

“I need to put a 1000,000 stars because this is what this business deserves. They cannot Upscale themselves anymore because they are just the BEST ever clinic I have been to in my life. I am a beauty therapist for over 20 years in Australia and overseas. I went with a friend to Upscale Bali ( Nth Denpasar) and I was just going to sit at reception and wait for my friend to have a treatment. Whilst looking at the menu, I saw a facial called Premium Glass Skin Facial Hydra Facial. There was a 30-40% off Promotion for this facial on the day, so I thought to myself, I may as well try one considering I’m always giving Facials to my clients. My friend also said ‘go on! treat yourself’, so we had one together. The Receptionist Candra is excellent , she addressed any concerns and she recommended which facial to have. I know after any treatment the Therapist usually asks you to buy products, which I wish I did now that I look at my skin. Candra recommended some products in a lovely manner and wasn’t too pushy. She even organised her colleague to take me to a local store 10 mins away from the salon at no charge and brought me back. She gave me herbal tea, coffee, lollies and even went out of her way to get me some lunch. I only wish this would happen in Melbourne. Then a Therapist took me upstairs where I proceeded to have my treatment. Let me tell you I was through the Golden Gates with this facial. TIKA my Therapist was EXCEPTIONAL, I only wish she could come to Australia and teach Therapists here about what it’s like being a customer on the bed. First she had a beautiful bed side manner. She started to cleanse my face with little pressure, then she got firmer and her smooth hands glided over my face, from that moment I knew that this young lady knows what she’s doing. Her motion was smooth and flowing and she didn’t talk, she just let me relax, while she did what she does best. She exfoliated my skin, steamed it, did a hydra-facial and then I could feel her plucking out some black heads that I didn’t realise I had and there were so many of them. She used a tool I have never seen before and she was very gentle, not painful at all. She then put a beautiful glass mask on and proceeded to give me what I call a hypnotic massage on my face and decolletage, It was so heavenly and so good that I asked if she could do another half an hour and she did. Of course, I went to sleep and when I woke up my skin looked sensational. In all of my 57 years of existence not even as a baby , has my skin ever looked this good. My friend who initially took me to the Salon was blown away and as soon as she saw my face she couldnt stop saying how AMAZING my skin looked. When I came back home to Oz the clean and clear look of my skin felt and looked great for nearly 1 month. I am going to say to any Australian or if you are from another country heading to Bali. Unlike other clinics that focus mainly on medical-aesthetic or surgical procedures, BRAIA offers preventive health tests. These tests include dermoscopy and full lab exams, along with wellness options such as nutrient infusion IV therapy.
They also offer medical dermatology services, including minor dermatology surgery, cryosurgery, and skin biopsies. These typically range from IDR 300,000 to IDR 1,500,000, depending on the procedure, which I think is fair compared to other clinics on the island.
And what’s even nicer is that you can book dental services on the same visit.
Aside from that, their cosmetic menu is impressive. It includes Botox, dermal fillers, thread lifts, and fractional CO₂ laser treatments, as well as the Hollywood carbon laser peel. Prices are also affordable, generally ranging from IDR 500,000 to IDR 5,000,000 per session.
However, some of the advanced cosmetic procedures may require multiple sessions for the best results, which can add up in time and cost.

I particularly support Keina Beauty because of their eco-conscious approach to skincare. Their in-house line includes dermatologist-formulated products like the Keina Facial Wash, Hydrating Essence, Daily Moisturizer, and CC Cream.
Prices of their skincare range start from IDR 85,000 to 220,000, all in reusable glass packaging, free from parabens and animal testing.
I like that they also back sustainability with programs like the tree-planting in Bali, which makes every purchase feel like it contributes to something bigger.
On top of the products, Keina also offers in-clinic services such as facials (starting from IDR 250,000), acne treatments, brightening programs, and basic dermatology consultations. All of these usually cost around IDR 300,000 to 600,000, depending on the treatment.
What they lack, however, are more advanced procedures like laser therapies and injectables. Their strength lies in daily skin maintenance and eco-friendly skincare solutions, rather than high-tech dermatology.
