1. Sunset Vet

Location: Jl. Raya Lungsiakan, Kedewatan, Kecamatan Ubud, Kabupaten Gianyar
Contact: +62361975296
Opening Hours: Monday to Sunday: 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM
Sunset Vet is a top choice for many pet owners in Ubud, especially when emergencies strike. A friend once brought her cat here after a sudden seizure, and the team’s quick response showed how dependable their care can be.
What really sets them apart is the range of services. They handle everything from routine check-ups, vaccinations, and dental care to advanced surgeries and 24-hour emergency support at their Kuta branch.
For expats, their ability to issue international health certificates makes travel much less stressful.
They also offer grooming, boarding, acupuncture, and home visits, making them a one-stop clinic for almost any need. The facilities match the services, with CT scans, digital X-ray, ultrasound, and in-house labs for faster results.
On the downside, some owners estimate higher costs for intensive care and long-term treatments. The clinic can also feel crowded during peak hours.
Would definitely recommend
“Sunset Vet has been our vet for the past year, and we’ve always been happy with the care they’ve given our cat, Chapo. When I decided to move back to Europe, I wanted to make sure Chapo had all vaccinations, rabies tests, and paperwork in order well ahead of time. Sunset Vet helped me sort all of this out and made the whole process easy to follow. Everyone at the clinic is friendly, helpful, and easy to communicate with. Special thanks to Drh. Dina and the team for being so supportive and answering all my questions clearly. I would definitely recommend Sunset Vet to anyone looking for a good vet in Ubud.”

Clean and animals are well-loved
“Excellent vets. I’m on holiday and found a kitten in bad shape. I messaged Villa Kitty a cat rescue charity, and they said they are so full, can I please take her to Sunset Vets as they have a program to treat her for up to 6 weeks, vaccinate and ensure they don’t have deadly cat flu. I did this and paid 1.5 million and a little extra for full treatment of scabies and skin fungus (total $200 AUD or about 1.8 million rupiah). Rosie the kitten is being well cared for and when I emailed the vet they sent me a paragraph update and video via whatsapp. I have visited her once and will go again before I leave. Place is clean and all animals there are well loved and cared for. Staff do a great professional job. Rosie will move to Villa Kitty charity in 6 weeks if all goes well and will be ready for rehoming. Fingers crossed! Please consider adopting a cat or dog from here as there are so many beautiful souls needing a home 💖”

What stands out about Kedonganan Veterinary is how well-rounded their services are for both routine care and emergencies.

Absolute team players, clean, and friendly atmosphere
“I can’t thank this vet team enough. I had to fly overseas for an extended period and they cared for my boy for over a month. From day one they treated him like family. I received daily updates, photos, and messages that gave me complete peace of mind. They truly went above and beyond and it was clear how much love and attention they gave him. The entire staff are absolute team players, creating a warm, clean, and friendly atmosphere that made my boy feel right at home. Honestly, I couldn’t recommend them more. If you’re looking for a place in Bali to care for your pet, look no further. This is hands down the best. My heartfelt thanks to every single one of you 🖤🐾”

Great experience
“My friend and I rescued a little kitten off the streets late night on 14 June and this was the nearest vet we could find. The kitten was hypothermic and covered in mouse trap glue, with a wound on the right hind leg. We did not get the names of the vet and nurse that day. They did not have any isolation rooms available for hospitalisation, but they attended to the kitten and did whatever they could to clean and stabilise the kitten. As we had to bring the kitten to another vet with available hospitalisation vacancy, they even went to the extent of preparing a box with warm bottles and towels so we could bring the kitten there comfortably. We were touched by the heart and care they put in for the kitten. Great experience. Added photos of the kitten’s condition from when we brought it in, to how well it progressed 1 week later. To the vet and nurse that night, if you see this, thank you from us and kitty!”

Contact: +62 811-389-3171
Opening Hours: Open 24 hours
Bali Veterinary Clinic, often called BVC, is one of the most established and trusted animal clinics on the island. It was founded by Dr. Ni Made Restiati, who trained and completed her Master’s at Murdoch in Australia, bringing a strong mix of local and international expertise.
The clinic is fully certified by the Indonesian government, the Veterinary Association, and the Asia-Oceania Veterinary Group, which gives owners confidence in its standards of care.

Boarding facilities are also thoughtfully designed, with separate dog and cat wards to keep pets comfortable and stress-free.
However, BVC does not provide grooming, home visits, or alternative therapies like acupuncture. Export and travel health certificates are also not emphasized here, which may be a drawback for expats.
Really great experience with this clinic
“Really great experience with this clinic. Bought in our street cat that was slowly dying – had not eaten in 7 days and was barely moving. They kept him in for 48 hours – put him on a drip and gave him medicines, and within the 48 hours he was eating again and good to come home again. Staff explained things well and gave us options while always working to minimise costs for us. Place was very clean and staff were great with good English. This is the vet we will always use from now on!”

Highly recommended
“Had to bring my dog in as an emergency, and the team at Bali Vet Clinic truly went above and beyond. He ended up staying with them for over 8 days, and I couldn’t have asked for better care. They kept me updated throughout, were super gentle and kind with him, and you can really tell that the doctors and nurses genuinely care. Everyone – from the vets to the reception team – is friendly, helpful, and patient. They also did a lot of therapy that made a huge difference in Pluto’s recovery. So grateful to have found this clinic, and I’ll definitely be coming back whenever needed. Highly recommend! Terima kasih banyak! 🙏🏼”
