Unlock a Fresh Look at These 5 Best Hair Salons in Bali
Every trip, humidity and saltwater gang up on my hair, leaving it frizzy and tangled. No amount of brushing or scrunching seems to help, and suddenly “beach hair” looks more like a disaster.
That’s when I realized a quick salon stop should be part of the Bali routine. The salons here really get tropical hair. In under an hour, sun-beaten strands transform into that effortless, “just stepped off the beach” look.
So before your next sunset dinner or a night out in Seminyak, I’ll tell you a secret… I have a list of salons that consistently get tropical hair right. A quick visit to these spots leaves you feeling polished and confident.
How much does a hair salon treatment cost in Bali?
Hair salon treatment in Bali typically costs between IDR 200,000 and IDR 450,000 for a woman’s haircut. Meanwhile, coloring services range from IDR 800,000 to IDR 2,000,000, depending on hair length and style.
1. Manik Hair Salon

Address: Jl. Umalas II No.100, Kerobokan Kelod, Kec. Kuta Utara, Kabupaten Badung
Contact Details: +6287861814761
Business Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 10 AM – 6 PM
Manik Hair Salon has long been recognized as a pioneer in Bali’s high-end hair scene. With the tagline “Artistry Meets Intention,” the salon is designed around luxury and personal transformation.
This salon takes coloring seriously. It offers full transformations, blonding, and precision color correction, making you feel that you are in good hands.
You can also experience their exclusive offerings. These include Malibu Blonder and Malibu DDL, which help revive your hair’s life from sun-damaged conditions, leaving it lighter afterward.
Their treatment lineup is commendable, featuring the Detox Mud Mask and K18 Repair, as well as the Cellula UV Filter treatment. Every service feels restorative, leaving hair visibly stronger after each visit.
I like that each session begins with a detailed one-on-one consultation, ensuring that every shade and texture match fits perfectly. With prices that can reach around IDR 2,900,000, the level of craftsmanship clearly justifies the cost.
However, communication can be challenging through WhatsApp, as responses may take days, which can disrupt tight schedules. It’s better to call directly if you’re hoping to book quickly.
So friendly and helpful
“Amazing salon, the staff is so friendly and helpful. They wanted to be sure to get the exact coloring I wanted. If you’re a blonde and looking for a great place to get highlights, this is the place for you. Claire took my hair from looking dull and lifeless to exactly what I wanted!! They also fit me in last minute which I so appreciated. Will be recommending this salon to others :)”

Highly recommend this place if you want true professionals
“I honestly can’t thank this salon enough! I came in after another salon completely butchered my hair. I was devastated. But from the moment I walked in here, I felt like I was in good hands. The team took the time to really listen to what happened and what I was hoping to fix. They explained every step they were taking and worked with so much care and attention to detail, it wasn’t just a quick fix, it was a full-on rescue mission, and they absolutely nailed it. I walked out not only with my hair saved, but actually loving the result, something I didn’t think was possible after the disaster I walked in with. Highly recommend this place if you want true professionals who care about their work and their clients.
Thank you again for bringing my hair back to life!”

2. The Shampoo Lounge

Address: Jl. Raya Basangkasa No.8, Seminyak, Bali, Kabupaten Badung
Contact Details: +6285338333338
Business Hours:
- Monday to Sunday: 9 AM – 7 PM
The Shampoo Lounge has been around since 2012, with branches in Seminyak, Sanur, Ubud, and Nusa Dua. Getting an appointment never feels like a hassle, no matter where you’re staying in Bali.
Their team blends Western-trained stylists with talented local professionals, which explains the flawless cuts and color work they’re known for.
It’s also more than just a salon. You can get your nails, lashes, and even a massage done all under one roof, which is great if you’re short on time.
The Seminyak branch is a private, hijab-friendly suite that demonstrates its inclusivity. It offers complete privacy with female stylists who know how to make clients feel at ease.
For weddings or events, they also offer a mobile “Glam Squad,” which is a lifesaver, as it comes directly to villas or resorts to style everyone on-site.
Booking is simple with their 24-hour online system and e-consultation form. It helps you determine the services you need before visiting.
The only letdown, though, is that there’s no visible loyalty or membership program. This could make it less appealing to frequent clients who are hoping for perks or rewards.
Friendly and professional
“Was greeted by happy faces, Dewi completed my coconut hair treatment, I had my hair washed first, finger pressure was perfect, then I was taken through to have my coconut hair treatment which included a head massage which was so relaxing, then hot towel applied to let the coconut works it’s magic. Whilst that was on I was given a shoulder and neck massage, then to top it off a foot and leg scrub. Finally taken through to wash off the hair treatment and then blow dry. Dewi was friendly and professional. Happy to recommend! 🥰”

Professional, talented, and did an incredible job
“I got my hair done in New Zealand the week before going to Bali. After the first day of swimming my hair turned green (unable to be washed out). After 2 weeks of swimming it felt beyond repair – unbrushable, knotted, green and in terrible condition. In just 2 hours Lexi (Stylist) ‘Removed the Green’ and toned it back to its original state. He also took the time to recommend a hair treatment for when I got back home – as I was flying out a few hours later. Lexi, thank you so much! You are so professional, talented and did an incredible job. I am so happy with your work!!
While getting my hair done, Win gave me the best pedicure (gel removal and new gel). She is so meticulous and gave so much attention to my cuticles and dry areas. Honestly one of the best pedicures I’ve had. Thank you, Win!”

3. RASA GAYA

Address: Jl. Raya Sanggingan No.369, Kedewatan, Kecamatan Ubud, Kabupaten Gianyar
Contact Details: +6281339101465
Business Hours:
- Sunday to Friday: 10 AM – 7 PM
- Saturday: 9 AM – 7 PM
RASA GAYA stands out in Bali’s beauty scene with its rare mix of a salon, facial studio, and fashion boutique all in one space.
They use top-tier, eco-conscious brands like Keune and K18, which is evident in the softness and shine your hair retains after treatments. Additionally, stylists here have a knack for toners and subtle color transformations that appear effortless yet polished.
The interiors feel like a blend of a spa and a creative studio. The stylists also take time to ask about your routine and face shape before suggesting a style, so the results feel thoughtfully done rather than one-size-fits-all.
However, prices lean towards the premium side, with a woman’s cut starting around IDR 600,000, while full color can exceed IDR 1,000,000. It’s more of a treat-yourself kind of salon than a quick stop for those on a tight budget.
What’s fun is the boutique corner filled with local fashion pieces you can browse while waiting for your turn. It really adds a unique flair to the experience and something you won’t usually find in a regular salon setup.
Professional, warm, and friendly
“Rasa Gaya is the bestt, I recommend this salon if you want to dye your hair💯 My hair is a bit messy from the color i got 3 months ago and i want to fix it. I want my hair to be colored but still look naturally and they did a fantastic job indeed! Totally worth the price and they are all professional, warm, and friendly!
They gave me an advise on color base on my skin tone and i look amazing! Here are some before after pics (Not edited guarantee)!”

Left feeling completely refreshed and fabulous
“I had a fantastic experience at Rasa Gaya! I came in with very dry and damaged hair after a long period of travel, and left feeling completely refreshed and fabulous. I received a Japanese treatment and haircut with Master Amy, and I can’t recommend her enough. Her hands are incredibly gentle and professional — you can really feel her mastery in every movement. The treatment was deeply nourishing, and my hair feels soft, healthy, and full of life again. I absolutely love the result and will definitely be back.
Thank you, Amy, for such a beautiful transformation!”

4. Rob Peetoom

Address: Petitenget St No.16, Seminyak, Kuta Utara, Badung Regency
Contact Details: +628113875688
Business Hours:
- Monday to Sunday: 10 AM – 7 PM
Rob Peetoom began in the Netherlands in 1969. It brought its long-standing Dutch precision and artistry to the island in 2012 with the opening of its first hair spa in Seminyak.
Each branch feels like a retreat with airy spaces filled with natural light and even rice field views at the Ubud salon. There’s an unmistakable calmness in the atmosphere, blending the sleekness of European salons with Bali’s serenity.
The services go beyond basic cuts and color. The signature hair and scalp rituals stand out with longer, more indulgent treatments that deeply nourish and detoxify the hair and scalp.
The only downside is the location of the Seminyak flagship, which sits right on the bustling Jalan Petitenget. Navigating traffic and parking can take a toll, especially during peak hours.
Interestingly, the Beachwalk Kuta branch features “Mr Peetoom Bar + Barber.” It’s a dedicated men’s grooming space that offers trims and shaves with the same polished standards.
The view of the rice fields was stunning
“Stumbled across Rob Peetoom Hair Spa on my walk and booked it in for my friend & I later that day – and honestly a highlight of our trip! We did a 60 minute hair spa treatment and it was amazing! The scalp massage & steaming were amazing. The view of the rice fields was stunning. Staff were so great. The tea & cookie such a bonus. Would come back in a heartbeat for another treatment! Highly recommend. My hair felt and looked incredible.”

They really take the time to listen to what I want and always deliver amazing results. The atmosphere is welcoming, clean, and relaxing, which makes every visit a treat. Whether it’s a cut, color, or styling, they always exceed my expectations. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a place they can truly trust with their hair.”

5. Glo Bali – Hair Salon and Beauty

Address: Jl. Kayu Aya No.1, Seminyak, Kec. Kuta, Kabupaten Badung
Contact Details: +6281139903222
Business Hours:
- Monday to Sunday: 9 AM – 10 PM
Glo Bali opened its first branch in Seminyak back in 2005. It has expanded to multiple locations, including Canggu and Nusa Lembongan. Each salon offers the same clean and modern atmosphere.
However, the membership program is worth noting because it’s only open to Bali residents holding a KTP, KITAS, or a business visa. Tourists miss out on discounts, which can make frequent visits a bit pricier during long stays.
In fact, its Seminyak flagship branch impressively spans 480 square meters. It features treatment rooms, a mani-pedi lounge, and a makeup bar that will surely amaze you while you wait for your turn.
What stands out is how seamless it feels to get multiple treatments at once, from a haircut to a massage to a spray tan—all under one roof.
The hygiene standards here are excellent. There are vegan-friendly and cruelty-free products, as well as trained staff that maintain high sanitation levels.
Super fast and professional
“I booked at Glo Day Spa after checking out their reviews and I’m so glad I did! They were super fast and professional when I messaged them on WhatsApp —always quick to respond whenever I had questions.
I was honestly a bit nervous at first because I had a bad salon experience last year in a diff salon, but this was completely different. The senior stylist director did my hair and he was amazing. He took the time to ask exactly what I wanted, explained every step, and made sure I was okay with it before doing anything. I really trusted him, and he nailed the blonde I wanted — super smooth, natural, and not brassy at all (which is hard with Asian hair in one session!).
I also got my eyebrows threaded and the girl who did it was so detailed and professional. They even took me into a room with LED lights to check everything — I’ve never seen that before and it made the whole thing feel super clean and precise. She listened to what I wanted and did a great job. Overall, such a good experience. I’d definitely come back!”

Everyone was so nice
“Yoni Herijanto is literally the best hairdresser I’ve ever had my hair done by. I have no idea how he managed to take my hair to the blonde colour it is, from the dark brown/slightly reddish colour it was, in ONE sitting. The whole team at Glo was amazing, kind and got me in the same day I asked about an appointment, despite being fully booked. They gave me a shoulder massage while my hair was setting and hot tea the whole way through. Everyone was so nice and Yoni is an absolute professional with hair. He did a technique I’ve never heard of called airtouch balayage.. and wow, it’s amazing. He took my hair from stressed, breaking and oily, to healthy, shiny and beautiful honey blonde. BEST EVER! I’d literally fly back to Bali just to get my hair done by Yoni again. Come here and you’ll leave with amazing, healthy hair!!!
🥰 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟”
