The 5 Best Gift Shops in Bali That’ll Make You Skip Duty-Free
The best thing about having friends from another country is the exchange of knowledge and cultures. One time, I helped a pal from another country find unique, handmade trinkets for her family after she attended a wellness retreat in Ubud.
Before that, all she saw were mass-produced and generic items. Unsatisfied, she asked me for help finding local artisans and hidden market gems.
Together, we happily hopped from one boutique to the next, comparing textiles, ceramics, and more. We also read reviews, checked Instagram spots, and asked other locals.
So if you’re also hunting for one-of-a-kind keepsakes, here’s our curated list of lovely gift shops in Bali to save you time.
1. Daun The Gift Shop

Address: Kuta Square Blok E 25-27, Jl. Bakung Sari, Kuta, Kec. Kuta, Kabupaten Badung
Contact Details:
- +62 815 5850 0312
- +62 823 4022 9683
Business Hours: Daily: 9:00 am to 9:00 pm
Daun The Gift Shop has been selling Balinese handicrafts since 2000. Their logo with 5 leaves represents their 5 founders.
They sell export-quality handicrafts and collaborate directly with over 50 local artisans to preserve traditional techniques. For us, this makes their product selection more curated and design-led than a typical mall or street market shop.
Rather than generic keychains and cheap plastic gifts, we appreciate that customers can find handmade crafts, home decor, accessories, and the like here.
It’s handy that they offer global shipping and complimentary gift wrapping too. The staff has even recently introduced creative workshops, like wood carving and batik making (a traditional art form that uses a wax-resist technique to create fabric designs).
Conveniently, they have 2 spots in Bali as well. One is at Kuta Square, and the other is near Sanur Beach on Jl. Sudamala, for more accessibility.
However, some of their prices are higher than those of nearby open-air markets or street stalls. Their small keepsakes start as low as IDR 25,000, but their home decor can go as high as over IDR 5,000,000.
And because their items are curated, their selection is much smaller than the giant souvenir warehouses.
The goods were cute and reasonably priced
“I went to a lot of places to buy souvenirs from Bali, but I couldn’t find anything I really wanted…I popped into this shop and the goods were cute and reasonably priced. I bought a lot of things.”

Great selection of products and a convenient location
“One of the best gift shops in Bali! Great selection of products and a convenient location. Customer service is generally good, though it could be more welcoming towards domestic tourists. Special mention to Lawrence, a new staff member who was super friendly and gave great service, he even convinced me to buy an extra soap!”

2. Toko Emporium

Address: Jl. Oberoi No 1, Seminyak, Kerobokan Kelod, Kec. Kuta Utara, Kabupaten Badung
Contact Details: +62 821 4745 9485
Business Hours: Daily: 10:00 am to 9:00 pm
Toko Emporium is a long-running lifestyle shop that has been running in Seminyak for many years. They focus on almost 100% locally produced items made in Bali.
They were founded by Janet, an Australian designer who’s been designing for the brand for over 16 years. And while her store isn’t a giant chain, we like that they’re well-known for their curated quality and vibe.
For one, they’re famous for their hand-poured resin tableware and jewelry, Lombok pearls, and tribal art (like carved buffalo heads). We think this is a step up from other places with mostly generic items.
This store is a fixed-price boutique too. While they’re not cheap by local market standards, a few clients we talked to still consider them reasonable for their top-notch designs.
You can expect to pay between IDR 150,000 and IDR 400,000 for their resin bangles and other accessories. However, their prices can rise from IDR 3,500,000 to over IDR 5,000,000 for statement decor and tribal art.
Just note that the space here is quite small and cozy, so it can feel cramped during peak tourist hours in the afternoon.
Awesome selection of gifts for everyone
“Toko Emporium is my favourite store in Bali. Awesome selection of gifts for everyone. My wife loves their linen clothing and the staff are always very helpful and nice. Cant wait to go back!”

The collection is so unique and beautifully displayed
“I love this place. The collection is so unique and beautifully displayed, and the staff are always incredibly kind and genuinely eager to help. Every year when we visit Bali, we choose a special piece to bring back to our home in Canada. It’s become a tradition we look forward to, and each item carries a wonderful memory with it.”

3. Souvenir Moment

Address: Jl. Gemitir No.32, Kesiman Kertalangu, Kec. Denpasar Tim., Kota Denpasar
Contact Details:
- +62 817 9789 600
- +62 36 1461 252
- [email protected]
Business Hours: Open 24 hours
What makes Souvenir Moment from general keepsake stalls is that they’re a specialized wedding souvenir shop in Denpasar.
They provide affordable, useful nuptial gifts that couples can buy in bulk for guests. Some of our favorites are the uniquely-shaped fans, shot glasses, and photo-based invitations.
As for the rates, many small trinkets here cost around IDR 4,500 to IDR 6,000. Meanwhile, their custom tumblers or jumbo glasses generally range from IDR 5,500 to IDR 15,000.
Another thing we love is that they’re open 24/7, so you won’t have to worry about last-minute shopping. Still, we recommend making an appointment for bulk consultations.
But since they’re a bulk shop, you’ll likely face higher unit prices or limited customization if you only want to buy fewer than 10 items.
And since many of their products are made of glass, you’ll need to transport your orders with extra care and potential shipping costs.
Fast response, friendly, and good products
“Fast response, friendly, good product. Very satisfying. Thank you for the souvenir moment.”

4. Bintara Art Gallery

Address: Jl. Bypass Ngurah Rai, Kuta, Kec. Kuta, Kabupaten Badung

- [email protected]
Business Hours:
- Mon-Sat: 9:30 am to 9:00 pm
- Sun: 11:00 am to 9:00 pm
Bintara Art Gallery has been a family-run business in the art and souvenir industry since 1971. This gives them over 50 years of experience buying, selling, and supporting Balinese and Indonesian handicrafts.
In our book, their long history makes them more like a heritage shop than a new boutique. A patron we talked to even recommends this as a must-visit spot whenever you’re visiting Kuta.
We like their broad selection as well. That includes everything from small, easy-to-carry items like keychains, scarves, and small decor to high-value Balinese wooden carvings and art pieces.
They typically have fixed prices too, so there’s no need to haggle. Their small handmade crafts and scarves usually start from IDR 150,000 to IDR 350,000.
But if you want fine art pieces and large wood carvings, they can reach over IDR 5,000,000—depending on the artist’s reputation.
And while this shop still has some modern pieces, its overall vibe is quite traditional. Should you want ultra-minimalist lifestyle items, we reckon other shops could be more suitable.
Incredibly unique pieces and a wide variety of woodwork and handicrafts
“Incredibly unique pieces and wide variety of woodwork and handicrafts. Not touristy and highly attentive staff!”

5. Go Gift Bali

Address: Lower Lobby Level, Bali Dynasty Resort, Jl. Kartika Plaza, Tuban, Kec. Kuta, Kabupaten Badung
Contact Details:
- +62 857 8130 4535

Business Hours:

- Mon, Sat-Sun: 9:30 am to 6:00 pm
- Wed: 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm
- Fri: 9:30 am to 9:00 pm
More than a resort souvenir store, Go Gift Bali is a local gift and delivery service that sells and ships items all over Bali and beyond. They can send your order to any location too: to your home, hotel, villa, or office.
And unlike those that sell mass-produced trinkets, this shop is big in supporting local artisans and even charities.
Additionally, they offer customized orders to make presents more special. For example, you can opt for themed hampers or personalized item combos.
When it comes to the prices, they offer a mix of small impulse buys and premium custom sets. Their cheapest options are their natural bath and wellness products, ranging from IDR 50,000 to IDR 150,000.
On the other hand, their priciest products are their seasonal hampers (e.g., Christmas or Eid) and personalized gift baskets. They start around IDR 500,000 but exceed IDR 2,500,000.
Nonetheless, their store seems compact with limited walk-in stock. For big, personalized orders, it’s best to order in advance via Instagram or WhatsApp.
Also, their custom screen-printing or bespoke hampers might require 24 to 48 hours’ notice. We reckon this can make it challenging to plan for last-minute surprises.
Wonderful experience working with them for custom gifts
“Had a wonderful experience working with GoGift Bali. They prepared 2 custom gifts baskets and delivered them with excellent communication via email. Highly recommended!”
