Stretch, Sweat, Repeat at the 5 Best Pilates Studios in Bali

  • Instructor qualifications: We checked each team’s certifications and specialist experience. Skilled instructors keep every move safe, precise, and suited to your body.
  • Class variety and equipment: We compared class formats and machine quality. More options mean you won’t outgrow the studio after two sessions.
  • Studio atmosphere and setup: We considered cleanliness, layout, and extras like lounges or recovery areas. A welcoming space makes regular workouts feel less like a chore.
  • Accessibility and pricing: We reviewed schedules, drop-ins, and introductory packages. Flexible booking and fair rates make island workouts much easier.

I’m no stranger to yoga studios, but sometimes a gentle flow just doesn’t cut it. That’s when I start craving something with a little more burn.

Luckily, finding the best Pilates studio in Bali isn’t exactly a stretch. The island’s packed with sleek Reformers, strong instructors, and workouts that mean business.

Whether you’re recovering from surfing or squeezing in a session between café stops, there’s plenty to try. I tested standout studios that left my core shaking and my posture feeling smug.

How much does a Pilates session cost in Bali?

Pilates in Bali usually costs IDR 120,000 to IDR 800,000+ per class. Prices depend on the class format and instructor attention.

Group mat Pilates is the most affordable option. It typically costs IDR 120,000 to IDR 350,000, or about $8 to $23 USD.

Group Reformer classes generally range from IDR 225,000 to IDR 350,000. That’s roughly $14 to $23 USD per session.

Private one-on-one sessions cost more. Expect to pay IDR 500,000 to IDR 800,000+, or around $32 to $52+ USD.

1. Vitruvian Bali

vitruvian-bali

Website

Address: Jl. Gatot Subroto Tim. No.37, Kesiman Kertalangu, Kec. Denpasar Tim

Contact: WhatsApp

Schedule: Monday–Friday 7 AM–7 PM | Saturday 7 AM–3 PM

Vitruvian Bali is a great pick when regular Pilates starts feeling a little too polite. Its Burn classes mix reformer work with HIIT, while Strength sessions add light weights for a tougher, sweatier challenge.

Every class is led by STOTT PILATES® certified instructors who work across different experience levels. That extra expertise makes the sessions feel structured without turning them into a boot camp.

I dropped into the Denpasar studio on my last trip and quickly noticed how closely the instructor watched my form. My posture got more attention there than it usually gets during an entire week of yoga.

The main catch is that junior instructors naturally have less teaching experience than senior coaches.

Classes are also limited to adults, so anyone under 18 will need to find another place to practise.

Pros

  • STOTT PILATES®-certified instructors
  • Varied Pilates class formats
  • Specialist coaching available
  • Two Bali studio locations

Cons

  • Junior instructors have less experience
  • Classes are for ages 18+ only

Personalised Pilates in a Clean, Private Studio

Very good team and beautiful Pilates place. Various number of classes to choose from and almost private. The reformers are new and very clean. The instructors are really nice to chat with, and they listen to our needs. A big thanks to Kris and Icha! We are coming to Vitruvian Bali for sure during the time we will be here!

Quiet Studio with Diverse, Expert-Led Programs

Have taken 10 sessions now. It’s a quiet and private pilates studio with highly qualified staff and coaches. I love their programs from Burn, strength, all levels, etc. I combine gym, yoga, and pilates in my workout routines and feel it completes my weekly program. Happy I finally found a studio that fits me.

2. Bluvana | Reformer Pilates Studio Uluwatu

Website

Address: Bluvana, 9-B Jl. Pantai Cemongkak, Pecatu, Kec. Kuta Sel

Contact: +62 813 3775 700 | WhatsApp | [email protected]

Schedule: Daily 7 AM–1 PM | 2–8 PM (Wednesday 7 AM–8 PM)

Bluvana is a welcome escape when packed studios make working out feel like rush-hour traffic. With just six Reformers per class, coaches can actually notice when your core starts quietly giving up.

There are eight class styles to choose from, covering everything from stability-focused sessions to house-beat cardio. It’s a nice mix for anyone who wants Pilates with a little more pulse.

I also like how easy the app makes booking classes and tracking credits. There’s far less chance of forgetting how many sessions you’ve already burned through.

The catch is that every class runs for 50 minutes and sticks entirely to Reformer work.

Mat Pilates fans are out of luck, and the strict 12-hour cancellation rule means spontaneous schedule changes can get expensive.

Pros

  • Small six-person classes
  • Seven targeted class formats
  • Calm, pressure-free atmosphere
  • Easy booking through the app

Cons

  • Reformer-only 50-minute sessions (no mat Pilates)
  • Strict 12-hour cancellation policy

Calm, Beautiful Studio with Challenging Classes

Absolutely loved this Pilates studio ✨ The atmosphere is so calm, aesthetic, and clean. The reformer classes were amazing — challenging but still enjoyable, and the instructors were attentive and professional. I felt both relaxed and energised after the session. Perfect place if you want to feel stronger, more toned, and feminine at the same time

Beginner-Friendly Pilates with Excellent Trainers

I was looking for a good and reliable Pilates studio while staying in Uluwatu, and Bluvana Reformer Pilates absolutely delivered. I can highly recommend it! The trainers are top-notch, and the classes were so much fun. I’m a beginner, but there’s something for every level here. I wholeheartedly recommend this studio.

Address: Arcade, Ruko, Jl. Raya Puputan No.81, Renon, Denpasar Selatan

Schedule: Monday–Friday 8 AM–8 PM | Saturday 8 AM–4 PM | Sunday 8 AM–2 PM

Pilates Re Bar is a solid choice when you want more than another slow stretch and savasana. Its Japanese-affiliated Kaizen approach focuses on steady improvement, posture correction, and targeted rehabilitation.

The Renon studio also feels thoughtfully set up for Bali’s heat. There’s full air conditioning, private showers, and enough space to cool down without rushing straight back outside.

A local expat I spoke with especially liked the small classes, which are capped at eight people. That means instructors can spot wonky alignment before it becomes your new personality.

The main drawback is that trial sessions are limited to group classes only. Hours also vary by branch, so checking the schedule first is essential.

Pros

  • Kaizen-inspired Pilates approach
  • Small Reformer group classes
  • Several session options
  • Well-equipped Renon studio

Cons

  • Trials are for group classes only
  • Schedules vary by location

Welcoming Denpasar Studio for First-Time Pilates

Just spent an amazing hour at this new Pilates studio in Denpasar! The moment I stepped in, I felt the positive vibes and welcoming energy from the instructors. The studio is super clean, modern, and equipped with top-notch Pilates gear. The class I joined was perfect for a total newbie like me. The instructor was super patient, guiding us through each move with awesome cues and adjustments. I left feeling stretched, strong, and super chill. Would totally recommend this studio for anyone in Bali/Denpasar looking to level up their Pilates journey.

Detailed Coaching in a Comfortable Atmosphere

I’m really satisfied with the Pilates here. The atmosphere is very comfortable, the reservation process is also very easy, the coach really pays attention to the details of our movements during class, the instructions are clear so we can focus especially on breathing 🥰

4. Pilates by Bambu Fitness Bali

Website

Address: Jl. Pantai Bingin 8 Bingin, Uluwatu

Contact: WhatsApp

Schedule: Daily 7 AM–7 PM

Pilates by Bambu Fitness Bali is ideal when a Reformer class alone doesn’t quite scratch the workout itch. It blends core-focused Pilates with strength training, recovery, and plenty of ways to keep moving.

Certified coaches lead low-impact sessions on premium Reformers and adjust exercises to suit your ability.

I like that the focus stays on flexibility and alignment without making the class feel too gentle.

Your session also unlocks a full gym, cycling studio, ice baths, and saunas. It’s basically a one-stop wellness playground for anyone who likes earning their recovery.

The main drawback is that it’s a full fitness hub rather than a quiet boutique studio. Expect more activity, foot traffic, and background buzz than you’d find in a smaller Pilates space.

Pros

  • Combines Pilates with strength training
  • Includes gym and recovery access
  • Premium Reformer equipment
  • Certified, personalised coaching

Cons

  • Not a dedicated Pilates-only studio (expect more foot traffic)

Exceptional Reformer Classes at Bambu Pilates

This is my second time in Bali, and I return to Bambu Pilates every time. I’ve taken classes with Camila, who is an exceptional instructor – highly experienced, authentic, and with a genuinely positive energy. The reformer classes are challenging yet always motivating and positive. The studio is beautiful, modern, and very welcoming. Highly recommended.

Supportive Instructors in a Stunning Studio

I absolutely love love love Pilates at Bambu! The studio is stunning, and the instructors are the best- so kind and motivating! They really guide you through every movement with care, while still pushing you to grow and challenge yourself. Every class leaves me feeling strong, inspired, and happy. It’s honestly one of my favourite places in Ulu! <3

5. Maison Pilates

maison-pilates

Website

Address: Jl. Pura Batu Pageh No.09, Ungasan, Badung Regency

Contact: +62 823‑2699‑2337 | [email protected]

Schedule: Daily 7.30 AM–6.30 PM | Book a class

Maison Pilates is a fun pick when you want your workout to target more than just your patience. Core Evolution focuses on deep trunk control, while Booty Burn gives your glutes a very clear assignment.

The Ungasan studio also keeps things varied with mat, Reformer, and micro-intense sessions. That makes it easier to switch up your routine before your muscles get too comfortable.

I also like the newcomer-friendly deals, especially the three-class intro pack. Couples travelling together can even grab a seven-day membership and suffer through the burn as a team.

The catch is that all three intro classes must be used within ten days. That can feel a little rushed when your Bali itinerary is already packed.

Pros

  • Multiple workout formats
  • Goal-focused Reformer classes
  • Seven-day couples membership
  • Three-class intro package

Cons

  • Intro package expires in 10 days

Welcoming First Visit with Personal Attention

Today I visited the Maison Pilates studio for the first time, and I absolutely loved it! The studio is beautiful, new and has such a welcoming atmosphere. The class was amazing, and the instructor gave attention to every single person, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Thank you so much! I’ll definitely be coming back again and again 🤍

Calm and Personal Mat Pilates Experience

I’m so delighted I came across Maison Pilates! After trying a larger studio in the area, I didn’t feel comfortable, and it was very impersonal. Maison has a calm and welcoming atmosphere. I decided to buy a block of mat classes, and I wasn’t disappointed! Vanessa pushed us each class with different exercises and introduced me to new techniques. Charline on reception is so welcoming and an absolute sweetheart! I’ll certainly be back next time I’m in the area. Thank you for providing exactly what I was looking for!
