Delight in Every Bite at the 5 Best Cake Shops in Bali

Quality: I looked for cake shops that use fresh ingredients and bake with genuine care. The cakes should taste as good as they look.

Customization Options: I chose shops that let you get creative. Whether you want a unique design or a special message, they make sure your cake feels personal.

Delivery Services: I selected cake shops that deliver on time and handle cakes with care. No one wants a cake that arrives melted or squished, especially on a day that’s meant to be special.

Price: I went to shops that offer great cakes without breaking the bank. Good quality shouldn’t always mean pricey.

Reputation: I checked what other locals and tourists say about each shop. If people keep coming back and sharing good experiences, that’s always a sweet sign.

Living in Bali has taught me one important lesson that no celebration here feels complete without a delicious cake. Whether it’s a birthday or even just a casual get-together, everything seems a bit sweeter with a beautifully baked treat on the table.

Over time, I’ve tried more cake shops than I can count. Some stood out for their creative designs, others for their flavors that simply melt in your mouth. And believe me, not all cakes are created equal.

So if you’re searching for a standout centerpiece or a perfectly crafted cake, I’ve compiled a list of the best cake shops in Bali known for their exceptional taste and look.

How much do cakes cost in Bali?

Cakes in Bali typically cost between IDR 200,000 and IDR 800,000 per order at a standard cake shop. However, the price may vary depending on the cake shop and the type of cake.

After trying several bakeries across Bali, I found All Day Bread to be one of the most reliable spots for delicious cakes and pastries without breaking the bank. With four branches conveniently located in Kuta, Denpasar, Renon, and Jimbaran, it’s easy to find one nearby whenever a craving strikes.

It might not look like much from the outside, but trust me—the cakes tell a completely different story when it comes to taste and freshness.

I recently ordered their Black Forest cake (15 cm) for a small birthday celebration, and it truly exceeded my expectations with generous chocolate shavings and a delightful blueberry filling.

Bonus points: they offer a wide range of halal-certified treats, so you can indulge completely guilt-free.

On top of that, their budget-friendly breads, like Abon Pedas and Ceres Mocha, are worth trying. I love how All Day Bread maintains excellent quality even with prices starting at just IDR 10,500.

They also make ordering easy for both locals and tourists with online delivery options through popular apps. My only small concern is that cakes delivered by motorbike can sometimes arrive slightly shaken, but the taste easily makes up for it.

Pros

  • Fresh and flavorful cakes
  • Affordable pricing
  • Online orders via delivery apps
  • Wide selection of breads and pastries
  • Consistent quality and presentation

Cons

  •  Cakes may arrive slightly shaken upon delivery

Lots of discounts

“All the bread is delicious, lots of discounts too. I’ve been a regular customer for a long time.”

Tastes delicious

“The taste is quite varied and delicious. The bread is also soft.”

Livingstone feels more like a creative space rather than just another cafe. Its airy interiors and minimalist decor give it a relaxed and modern vibe that fits perfectly with Bali’s laid-back atmosphere.

I tried their cakes, and honestly, this bakery’s artisan reputation makes perfect sense. The Nutella Oreo Cheesecake steals the show with its smooth texture and rich, indulgent flavor that’s impossible to resist. It’s one of my favorites here.

I also often drop by for their fresh pastries and end up staying longer than planned. What really grabbed my attention was the aroma of their butter croissants, which many say are the best in Bali. Each bite is flaky and buttery, showing the skill of a true artisan bakery.

Their coffee selection is another highlight, especially the Kintamani Blend. It’s a light brew with subtle notes of mandarin and vanilla, pairing well with their desserts.

However, Livingstone can get quite busy during brunch hours, so it’s better to come early or make a reservation if you wanna secure a good table.

Pros

  • Artisan-quality pastries and desserts
  • Relaxed and modern cafe vibe
  • Specialty coffee selection
  • Ideal for both work and casual dining
  • Consistently praised butter croissants

Cons

  • Crowded during brunch hours

Pastries and cakes are delicious

“Love this place! The atmosphere is nice, it’s almost always full, so you’d be lucky to get a table. The coffee is amazing, pastries & cakes are so delicious too! I love the lemon curd cruffin, strawberry tart & creme brulee cheesecake. Nasi goreng buntut is the way to go for an Indonesian dish. Super recommended.”

The best croissant in Bali

“Definitely the best croissant in Bali, and the cakes were so good. I love Creme Brulee Cheesecake & Russian cake.”

I’ve been hearing a lot from fellow locals about TN Cakes Bali in Seminyak, so I thought I’d check it out for myself when one of my family members had a birthday.

I went for their signature custom cake. It was beautifully designed with delicate floral sugar details and a soft vanilla sponge that was light yet full of flavor.

The team followed my flavor preferences and design requests, making the whole experience feel special and tailored for us.

I also enjoyed their tasting session. They actually let me sample different flavors before deciding on the final design.

Aside from that, their curated selection of desserts—from elegant cupcakes to petite mousse—makes it an ideal choice for small gatherings and grand celebrations. Plus, the shop is easy to reach.

The only problem is that the last-minute stock of simpler, pre-made cakes is limited. I recommend placing an order at least 3 days in advance if you’re after a more modest design.

Their prices reflect the premium quality and custom craftsmanship, with cakes typically starting at around IDR 600,000.

Pros

  • Custom-designed cakes
  • Tasting sessions available
  • Wide selection of desserts
  • Convenient location

Cons

  • Limited last-minute stock of pre-made cakes

Full-on masterpiece, and it tasted delicious

“Still speechless over my birthday cake from TN Cakes Bali! Seriously, would you look at the details? It wasn’t just a cake, it was a full-on masterpiece, and it tasted delicious! Huge thanks to the team, you guys nailed my husband’s brief 100% recommend to anyone wanting something truly special!”

Went above and beyond to design a birthday cake

“Antonio and the team at TN Cakes went above and beyond to design, make, and deliver our son’s first birthday cake. Not only did it look amazing, but it tasted even better. 100% recommend to anyone coming to Bali and needing a cake to go through TN cakes.”

Daily Baguette Ubud has always been one of my go-to bakeries for authentic French pastries in Bali. I’ve tried many cake shops around the island, but very few can match the quality and finesse of their baked goods.

They’ve got quite the sweet lineup. Sure, not everything’s a big, full-sized cake, but they make up for it with its charming mix of treats. You can get banana cake slices, mini tarts, and cheesecakes.

Just a few weeks ago, I treated myself to their classic croissant and opera cake. Both were made fresh that morning (they were good!). The croissant had the perfect golden crisp, while the opera cake was a delightful mix of chocolate and coffee.

But while their offerings are great, they use imported ingredients and proudly position themselves as an “authentic French bakery.” This means prices lean a bit higher, starting around IDR 35,000.

Still, I love that it’s tucked away in a quiet corner of Ubud. It makes stopping by feel like a little escape.

Pros

  • Freshly baked daily
  • High-quality ingredients
  • Focuses on the classic French menu
  • Takeaway and online order available

Cons

  • Higher pricing

Sandwiches and slices of cake were all so delicious

“Very good bakery in Ubud centre. We had a tuna sandwich, a Brekkie sandwich, which is an omelette and feta cheese, and some slices of cake. They were all so delicious. Quick lunch for my last day in Ubud.”

Did not disappoint with an abundance of pastries

“This is a great early spot as there do not seem to be many in Ubud, most open around 7 AM. We stopped here at 6 AM for coffee and a bite to eat, before heading out sight seeing. Did not disappoint with an abundance of pastries, and a great breakfast menu, coffee was also delicious!”

5. Bread Basket

Bread Basket remains one of the few that truly feels like home. The moment you walk in, the aroma of freshly baked bread hits you. It instantly reminds you why this bakery has become a local fave.

With their traditional European-style loaves, Bread Basket’s baguettes and sourdoughs have a crunchy crust and flavorful interior. They pair perfectly with their homemade jams and spreads.

Beyond that, their cakes are simple yet elegant, ideal for birthdays or small gatherings. I particularly enjoy their carrot cake, which has a moist texture and a just-right balance of spice and sweetness.

I love that they also have vegan-friendly cakes. One of my top picks is the vegan coconut cherry slice (IDR 48,500). It’s got this gentle coconut cream flavor that’s not trying too hard.

Moreover, the cafe also offers an all-day breakfast menu. I often order the eggs Benedict with their signature rye bread.

If there’s one drawback, it’s that their popularity makes finding a table during breakfast hours hard.

Pros

  • Freshly-baked European-style breads
  • Elegant cakes for celebrations
  • All-day breakfast menu
  • Cozy and rustic ambiance
  • Offers vegan-friendly cakes

Cons

  • Limited table availability during peak hours

The croissants were the highlight

“I ordered a cappuccino for 35k IDR, a plain croissant for 21k IDR, and an almond croissant for 24k IDR. The coffee was satisfactory, but the croissants were the highlight. Both were fresh, flaky, and crispy, with visually appealing presentations. A bonus was the cafe’s ambiance, it was less crowded compared to the nearby Broud Cafe, offering a more relaxed experience.”

The ambiance was nice

“They served lots of artisanal. You should go here in the morning because they fill the bread every morning, so you will get more options if you go here in the morning. The price was worth it, you can have a bagel with cream cheese for only 30K. I prefer to go here for brunch. The ambiance was nice and all the staff are really welcoming! As a local, I really enjoyed my time here.”
