The 5 Best Colleges in Bali for Quality Education and an Enriching Campus Experience
Choosing a college can be hard, especially when deadlines, entrance requirements, and course options start piling up. Before you know it, you are picking a program just because it seems convenient rather than because it is truly suitable.
I used to think any institution offering the degree I wanted would be good enough. That changed after I spoke with students who shared how much their campus environment, lecturers, and internship opportunities shaped their experience.
To make the decision easier, I have rounded up some of the best colleges in Bali. These institutions are known not just for their programs, but also for giving meaningful learning experiences and opportunities beyond graduation.
How much do college tuition fees cost in Bali?
Tuition fees for a college in Bali typically range from IDR 15,000,000 to IDR 60,000,000 per year, depending on the institution, degree level, and program of study. Additional costs may include registration and laboratory fees, learning materials, and living expenses.
1. PIB College

Operating Hours:

Founded in 2017, PIB College focuses heavily on hospitality and business. This feels perfectly aligned with Bali’s global tourism scene.
Programs include culinary arts, hotel management, and executive hotel management, among others. For anyone aiming to build a career in hospitality or tourism, the school’s specialization is well-structured.
One feature I genuinely appreciate is the 360-degree virtual campus tour. Students who can’t immediately travel to Bali can still explore the facilities online. The setup makes the decision-making process easier overall.
Global internship placements are available in destinations such as the USA, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. Also, key Middle East hubs are included in the list. That level of international exposure can really strengthen a graduate’s career prospects.
Support is also provided for student visa applications, and scholarship opportunities are available. Applicants whose first language is not English may need to take a placement test or submit IELTS or TOEFL results.
However, I did find it slightly inconvenient that some programs have smaller class sizes, which can make it harder to secure your preferred schedule or elective.
PIB College truly prepares students for success in their careers and beyond
“I’ve had a wonderful experience as a student here. The professors are knowledgeable, supportive, and always willing to help. The campus facilities are modern, and there are plenty of opportunities for extracurricular activities that enhance both academic and personal growth.
What I love most is the sense of community—everyone is friendly, and it’s easy to make connections that last. PIB College truly prepares students for success in their careers and beyond. Highly recommended!!”

A very good place to be, with many connections to international opportunities
“The campus’ design inspired by nature, resorts, and traditional Balinese sculptures makes for a very relaxing environment to walk around. I myself have found many lovely places to relax around the campus after a long day, and the facilities are very complete. I find it very impressive that a lot of the teachings in the school are very strict on student discipline which is something very valuable internationally in the world of hospitality. If you’re looking for a place to start in hospitality through learning, this is a very good place to be with many connections to international opportunities and internships included in their programs.”

Indonesia College provides comprehensive tutoring for students aiming for Civil Service Colleges, top state universities (PTN), and private universities (PTS) in Indonesia.
Backed by over 32 years of experience, the college has successfully guided thousands of students into their preferred colleges and civil service positions.
They specialize in mentoring programs that cover civil service exams, UGM’s IUP, and UI’s KKI. University entrance exam tutorials are also offered, with a strong focus on exam readiness and practical strategies.
One feature I really like is their 24/7 free consultation service. It allows students to get guidance whenever needed. Students also benefit from experienced instructors regarding the materials and exam formats for each PTN, PTS, and civil service test.
Indonesia College also offers periodic progressive tests and simulation tests. These help track development and measure readiness for all students.
In addition, the college offers targeted strategies and expert tricks to maximize exam performance. Overall, it helps students approach questions with confidence.
One limitation is that the highly structured, intensive programs may feel overwhelming to students who prefer a more flexible, self-paced approach.
The learning environment is very supportive
“I am very satisfied with my learning experience at Indonesia College. The material provided is very comprehensive and structured, from understanding basic concepts to challenging practice problems. The teachers are professional, patient, and always ready to help explain difficult material in an easy-to-understand manner.
The guidance facilities and teaching methods are also modern, including practice sessions that prepare students for the realistic medical and civil service entrance exams at state universities. Furthermore, the learning environment is very supportive, and the classmates motivate each other, ensuring a constant enthusiasm for learning.
What I appreciate most is the personal approach of the mentors; they don’t just focus on academics, but also provide time management tips, study strategies, and motivation to stay consistent.
For anyone aspiring to enter the medical or civil service universities, I highly recommend Indonesia College for its high-quality teaching and a learning environment that supports student success.”

Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Bali is one of those institutions that makes it clear they are not just teaching arts; they are preserving and advancing culture.
Established in 2003, the university was formed through the merger of earlier arts academies in Denpasar. This marked a major milestone in strengthening higher arts education in Bali.
What stands out is the range of programs offered. These include performing arts, fine arts and design, postgraduate studies, and international programs.
The school was given the Siwa Nataraja Award and the Bali-Bhuwana Mahottama Nugraha Award. These honors individuals and institutions that have made extraordinary contributions to arts, culture, science, and humanity.
ISI Bali also grants the Bali-Bhuwana Nata Kerthi Nugraha and the Adhyapaka Nata Kerthi Nugraha awards.
The first recognizes individuals or organizations that have made major contributions to arts and culture. Meanwhile, the second honours outstanding lecturers and staff within the university. This reflects the institution’s strong recognition of excellence.
One thing to note is that some programs may require specific artistic portfolios or talent-based evaluations. This can be a challenge for some applicants interested in the arts but who do not yet have a well-developed portfolio.
The lecturers are competent and experienced as art practitioners
“The ISI Denpasar Doctor of Arts Program provides a truly memorable academic experience for its students. The lecturers are competent and experienced as art practitioners, both in everyday Balinese culture and professional life. They solidly share deep insights into the development of traditional and contemporary art, theory, and art practice in various fields. The open and collaborative academic atmosphere at ISI Denpasar also allows students to develop more independently and conducively without being disturbed by feudal culture. This program is ideal for those who want to develop intellectual and creative capacity to contribute to the advancement of art and culture, especially in Indonesia.”

A beautiful, peaceful environment conducive to teaching and learning
“This is one of the State Art Institutes in Bali, located on Jalan Nusa Indah. Access is through the Art Center (which may be closed at any time during activities at the Art Center) and through a small road (only wide enough for one car) next to the bridge on Jalan Nusa Indah (north of the Art Center). The campus is relatively spacious for a state university in Bali, with a beautiful, peaceful environment conducive to teaching and learning. It is also strategically located and easily accessible. The qualified teaching staff, supported by a collaborative staff, create a comfortable learning environment.
Information about this campus can be accessed directly on its website.”

Bali Crystal College is a standout in hospitality education. What impresses me is how the programs are designed to quickly build real skills.
The one-year study program (D1) gives students hands-on experience in entry-level roles. These include housekeeping, front office, and food & beverage service.
Then, the two-year program (D2) develops middle-management and leadership skills for future hotel managers. For those who want a shorter, intensive course, the Executive Study Program is available. It gets students ready for hotels and cruise ships in no time.
Another standout feature is the school’s international internship network. Students can gain experience in places like Singapore, Taiwan, and Dubai. Additionally, they can also visit Malaysia and Thailand.
Bali Crystal College also partners with top hotels and resorts. Examples are Padma Resort, Como Sambhala Estate, and Santi Mandala Villas & Spa. This setup gives students real-world exposure before graduation.
I also admire the college for its multiple awards for excellence and innovation. They were named “Best Choice in Educational & Training Institutions Hotel & Cruise Award 2022” and “Most Innovative in Educational Institutions Award 2023”, among others.
One thing to keep in mind is that short-term programs like the Executive Study Program offer less in-depth training than full one- or two-year courses.
A brilliant college with affordable costs
“Bcc gianyar is one of the greatest colleges in bali. A brilliant college with affordable cost and very useful. I was one of the students of BCC gianyar. Because of the good education, facilities, trainers and methods those the reason that i had worked for 5 star hotel in overseas”

IDB Bali has grown into one of the leading institutions for design and business education in Bali. Established to combine local Balinese culture with modern industry trends, the school equips students with both hard and soft skills.
One thing that really sets them apart is the variety of programs they offer. Undergraduate courses include architecture, visual communication design, and interior design. There’s also fashion design, digital business, and business management.
Master’s programs in design and digital business are available, allowing students to deepen their expertise and stay ahead in the industry.
IDB Bali also stands out for its Golden Pass Scholarship, which offers a 50% discount on building fees for new students. This makes a creative, opportunity-filled learning environment more accessible without compromising quality.

The school’s excellence has been recognized through awards such as Best Private University with International Cooperation 2022 by LLDIKTI VII and The Best Campus in Bali from the Bali Best Brand Awards.
Student achievements also highlight quality education. I Kadek Hendra Tresna Diantara won first place in two competitions, including the Mural Competition by Side Walk Jimbaran and Tabanan Music Addiction.
The environment really supports creativity
“Studying at IDB Bali has been a great experience. The campus is modern, the facilities are complete, and the environment really supports creativity. From digital labs to collaborative spaces, everything feels designed to help students grow.
