Karsa Spa combines traditional Balinese techniques with energy-based healing for a deeply restorative experience. The spa was founded by Wayan Karsa, his wife Nyoman, and Jen True, all of whom share a philosophy of wellness and mindful rejuvenation.

Each therapist holds a Reiki Tummo certification, ensuring treatments are infused with a holistic touch that goes beyond physical relaxation. The spa’s signature full-body massage is complemented by a range of rituals, including body scrubs and herbal facials.

Those seeking a more immersive experience can book a full wellness package for about IDR 900,000. This includes a massage, scrub, and a flower bath overlooking the rice fields.

But it’s worth noting that Karsa Spa enforces a 50% deposit policy and requires at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations. This helps maintain smooth scheduling, but may be restrictive for spontaneous visitors.

Another standout feature is the on-site cafe serving plant-based meals and herbal teas, perfect for unwinding after a treatment. Guests can linger on the terrace and enjoy a light meal.

Pros

  • Certified Reiki Tummo therapists
  • Offers wellness packages with flower baths
  • On-site cafe with plant-based menu
  • Peaceful natural setting

Cons

  • Strict deposit and cancellation policy

The private room was incredibly comfortable

“Definitely one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. I recommend it to all my friends. I arrived here after a nice walk on the Campuhan Ridge. It’s not within the Grab area, but they provide shuttle services to the area where their sister spas are located. I had the Intuitive Heart Massage followed by a bath, and in the private room it was incredibly good and comfortable. I will return as soon as possible. Make a reservation because it’s usually fully booked. An extraordinary place.”

The staff were very gentle and caring

“We had such a wonderful massage experience here. The service was excellent, the staff were very gentle and caring throughout the whole session. They constantly checked if we were comfortable, which made us feel really well taken care of. They even surprised us by arranging flower petals into a heart shape in the bathtub, which was such a sweet and thoughtful touch. 💕

The massage itself was very relaxing, and the environment was calm and comfortable, perfect for unwinding. Truly a great experience and highly recommended!”

Bodyworks Spa has been part of Bali’s wellness scene since 1994. The family-run business in Seminyak blends timeless Balinese hospitality with Moroccan-inspired interiors that feel both elegant and welcoming.

Their service list is extensive. It features massages, scrubs, and a range of beauty treatments, including manicures and hair care.

Prices are on the higher side, though, with a 70-minute Balinese massage listed at IDR 650,000. This may not suit budget travelers who prefer smaller, more affordable spas.

Each session begins with a brief foot ritual before proceeding to the main treatment. It’s a thoughtful touch that sets the tone, showing attention to detail that carries through every moment of the experience.

The spa’s longevity is evident in how smoothly everything runs, from the booking process to the flow of treatments. Therapists are consistently professional and well-trained, making the entire visit feel reassuringly seamless.

What makes this spot memorable is its photo-worthy Moroccan decor, serene courtyard pools, and layout that invites you to linger long after your treatment.

Pros

  • Family-run spa since 1994
  • Moroccan-inspired interiors
  • Includes a foot ritual before every massage
  • Wide range of treatments and packages

Cons

  • Prices are higher compared to smaller local spas

Staff were super friendly and welcoming

“My girlfriends and I went to bodyworks on our recent trip to Bali and absolutely loved it.

From the warm welcome we received to help with capturing the perfect photo in the stunning spa, the entire experience was beautiful. The treatment I had was the Exfoliation Massage (Mandi Lulur) and it was perfect. The flower bath at the end was such a treat too. Staff were super friendly and welcoming and made us feel right at home. Would lightly recommend to friends and family. It’s such a beautiful spa. I cannot wait to return on my next trip to Bali.

Overall experience is well worth the price

“Bodyworks Spa is truly a must-visit in Bali! From the moment you step inside, the atmosphere is serene, elegant, and beautifully designed with Balinese touches. The staff are warm, professional, and make you feel completely at ease.

I booked a massage and body treatment, and it was absolutely heavenly. The therapist had excellent technique, combining deep pressure with gentle relaxation that melted away all the tension from traveling. Every detail—from the soothing music to the aromatherapy—was perfect.

The facilities are spotless, the ambiance is luxurious, and the overall experience is well worth the price. I walked out feeling refreshed, light, and deeply relaxed. I would highly recommend Bodyworks Spa to anyone looking for the best spa experience in Bali.”

Goldust Spa in Canggu redefines what luxury feels like, turning a simple pampering session into a gold-dusted escape. Established in 2009, this award-nominated spa offers an indulgent experience.

Their standout 24k Gold Facial is the star here, where actual gold leaf is applied to your face for radiant skin and a subtle glow.

The spa also offers lavish spa-party packages that include 180-minute sessions with champagne or fresh coconut. The price starts from around IDR 1,950,000++ per person, making it perfect for bridal showers or birthdays.

Every corner of the spa feels intentionally designed: marble tiles, antique furnishings, and a tranquil poolside lounge that makes you forget you’re in the heart of Canggu.

Service quality is consistently high, and treatments such as warm rose quartz massages and hyaluronic facials show the spa’s attention to detail.

Yet, the only downside is the location. Traffic in Canggu can be unpredictable, which might make travel time a little stressful before your appointment.

Pros

  • Over 10 years of strong luxury reputation
  • Signature 24k Gold Facial
  • Spa-party packages with champagne or coconuts
  • Luxurious interiors and poolside lounge
  • Specialist treatments with high-end products

Cons

  • Travel time in Canggu can affect overall convenience

Staff are highly trained practitioners

“There really are no words to describe this sublime spa. It’s absolutely stunning. And the staff are highly trained practitioners who are so lovely and nurturing. There’s no stuffiness here – just lots of care and love 🙏❤️. My daughter & I had the relaxation package – all of it was heavenly. And to top off our best experience in Bali, they had a birthday cake waiting for my daughter! So thoughtful. If you are looking for the best day spa in Canggu, book Goldust. You won’t be disappointed.”

The place is very comfortable

“I found Goldust Spa because it’s close to Batu Bolong and near the beach. The location is perfect, with a nice view and a peaceful atmosphere. I tried the *Stress Buster 90 min + Collagen Eye Treatment*, and it was an amazing experience! The place is very comfortable, and the staff are kind and professional. This is the first time I got a massage where the pressure was strong and perfect without me having to ask. Usually, at other places, I have to keep reminding them to apply more pressure, but here, the therapist just knew exactly what to do.

The collagen eye treatment was also a nice addition, making me feel even more refreshed. Definitely a must-visit spa in the area!”

Thermes Marins Spa at AYANA Resort & Spa Bali spans 22,000 square meters. This is Southeast Asia’s only “Thermes Marins” branded spa, complete with 53 treatment rooms and cliff-edge villas overlooking the Indian Ocean.

The moment we entered, the scale was impressive, but the size also means it lacks the intimacy found in smaller spas. The resort-style atmosphere makes it ideal for couples or groups, but perhaps less so if you’re after a secluded escape.

The Aquatonic Seawater Jet Pool is easily the spa’s crown jewel, using heated ocean water and hydrotherapy jets for full-body relaxation. This, combined with European thalassotherapy and Eastern-inspired rituals, makes treatment feel therapeutic.

Their “Spa on the Rocks” villas, perched dramatically above the ocean, make for a one-of-a-kind experience, especially during sunset sessions.

What made the visit memorable was how well everything was integrated, from the sea-sourced therapy to the sleek interiors and professional therapists.

Additionally, the 90-minute Body Ritual, priced at IDR 2,400,000, delivers noticeable rejuvenation. Meanwhile, the marine-based facials add a scientific touch to the luxurious and experiential vibe.

Pros

  • 22,000 m² facility with 53 treatment rooms
  • Aquatonic Seawater Jet Pool with ocean-sourced hydrotherapy
  • Cliff-edge “Spa on the Rocks” villas
  • Premium European–Eastern fusion therapies

Cons

  • Resort-style setting feels less private

We were welcomed with warm hospitality

“From the moment we arrived at Avana Villa Jimbaran, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality. The villa is a hidden gem—spacious, beautifully designed, and surrounded by lush greenery that instantly made us feel relaxed. Every corner of the villa is thoughtfully curated with aesthetic details—from the elegant interiors to the tranquil pool area that’s perfect for lounging or taking in the Bali sun. The ambiance strikes the right balance of luxury and comfort, giving us both a homely and indulgent feel.”

– Nicole Gonzales, Google Review

Incredible how consistent the service is

“Had a great stay at the Ayana Resort mainly due to the amazing service from all the staff wherever you went in the resort. It is a very large resort with 3 different properties plus villas and it is incredible how consistent the service is. The main restaurant can get busy during the rush hour breakfast but the quality of the food is high across the resort. It can take a while to get to other places from the resort due to the traffic in the Jimbaran area and you have to take a shuttle bus to the private beach but then again, it has the spectacular Rock Bar to watch the sunsets.“

The Nest Beachside Spa brings a calm kind of luxury to Sanur’s beachfront. Open since 2015, the establishment is owned by Balinese entrepreneur Dayu Lany Kristina. It offers a range of services, including massages and nail treatments.

From the moment we walked in, the ocean views instantly set a peaceful tone that felt far from the typical spa setup. The sound of the waves and the open-air beds was even more indulgent.

The menu’s range is impressive too, featuring everything from affordable massages starting around IDR 255,000 to high-end facials.

The spa also caters to families through its children’s treatments, which adds a welcoming touch rarely seen in day spas.

Another highlight is the high level of organization: everything is clean, bright, and consistently praised for its skilled therapists. The service quality matches the view, making even short visits feel special.

However, sessions fill up quickly, and walk-ins often can’t get a slot, especially during peak hours. This can throw off plans if you’re expecting spontaneous relaxation by the beach.

Pros

  • Beachfront location with sea views
  • Complimentary welcome drink and Lime & Peppermint Sorbet
  • Wide treatment menu from affordable massages to premium facials
  • Family-friendly options with children’s treatments
  • Clean, organized facilities and skilled therapists

Cons

  • Walk-ins are often unavailable due to full bookings

Definitely worth experiencing

“We went to both and definitely worth experiencing and good value! All the attention to detail from start to finish- the welcome cool towel, washing the feet at start of the massage, the sound bowls, the lemon and mint sorbets to finish. Make sure you book in advance as they get busy and not surprised 🥰 …”

– Karyn George, Google Review

The place is clean and the staff are lovely

“Best massage i had in Bali without a doubt! This was my second visit to the Nest. I had a relaxation massage with them last year that I just could not stop dreaming about. I automatically booked again on my return to Sanur. I didn’t know they have two locations so we turned up to the wrong salon. Luckily we were early so we managed to get a taxi and arrive to the beachfront on time. Both my daughter and I loved our massages. The therapist Yani is wonderful. The place is clean and staff are lovely. They are also very well priced. This is definitely my go to for massages when in Bali. I highly recommend”
