Feast on Dumplings and Buns at These 5 Best Dim Sum Spots in Bali
Dim sum used to be one of those meals we never overthought, much like grabbing sushi or even a quick slice of pizza. You order a few baskets, share everything, and trust that it will all taste good anyway.
But after trying different spots back-to-back, the differences became very obvious. Some dumplings were perfectly balanced, others felt rushed, and suddenly we were paying attention to texture and how each piece was folded.
Indeed, searching for great dim sum in Bali turned into a full-on food mission. So, after a mix of hits and misses, we ended up rounding up places that are actually worth sitting down for when the craving hits.
1. Dim Sum Inc.

Address: Jl. Dewi Sri No.101, Legian, Kec. Kuta, Kabupaten Badung
Contact Details: +623618947096
Business Hours: Open 24/7
Dim Sum Inc. has been around since 2011, so it’s not exactly a new spot in Bali’s dim sum scene. Its Kuta location makes it easy to access, especially after a late night out.
The concept here leans towards modern Chinese dining, with a focus on handmade dim sum prepared daily. Dough and fillings are made fresh, which already separates it from places relying on frozen imports.
Menu-wise, it balances classics like har gow and siu mai with variations like mayo prawn dumplings. Cooking styles include steamed and pan-fried, so the selection doesn’t feel limited.
Pricing sits around IDR 40,000 to IDR 100,000 per dish, with most items landing near IDR 47,500. There’s also an all-you-can-eat option at roughly IDR 88,000, which works well for groups.
Another thing that stands out is the 24/7 operation, which is rare for dim sum in Bali. Ordering is also flexible through WhatsApp or delivery apps, and packaging holds up well.
The setup feels more like a café than a traditional tea house, with beer available alongside dim sum. But there’s no pushcart or trolley service, so it lacks that classic yum cha experience.
Cozy, nice, and quiet
“I really loved this Chinese food place! It was my first time trying Chinese food and I absolutely enjoyed it. Everything I tried was so delicious and full of flavor, the food was really, really good. The atmosphere is cozy, nice, and quiet, which makes it a great place to enjoy a relaxed meal. I’ll definitely be coming back again to try more dishes. Highly recommended!🥢”

Price is valuable
“The best dim sums in Bali for sure. The first time I visited this place was more than 8 years ago, and since the time, they kept the same quality of the food. The price is also valuable! Extra bonus that they work 24/7, and the best place to some good food at late night! Kade as usually provided the best service!”

2. Golden Lotus Restaurant

Address: Jl. Kartika Plaza, Kuta, Kec. Kuta, Kabupaten Badung
Contact Details: +62361752403
Business Hours:
- Monday to Saturday: 1 PM – 3 PM and 6 PM – 9:30 PM
- Sunday: 10 AM – 2:30 PM and 6 PM – 9:30 PM
Golden Lotus Restaurant sits inside Bali Dynasty Resort, so the setup already feels more structured than standalone spots. It’s led by chef Teng Seng Lee, which shows in the controlled execution across the menu.
Dim sum here follows a proper Hong Kong-style approach, with precise wrapping and balanced seasoning. Cooking methods stick to wok-frying and braising, so dishes don’t feel rushed or overly oily.
Note pricing here falls in the premium range, so it’s not something we’d consider for frequent visits.
Even so, their Sunday all-you-can-eat brunch stands out, with multiple dim sum items and free-flow Chinese tea. That tea pairing adds a proper yum cha element, which many places skip.
Variety covers steamed dumplings and rice-based dishes, along with fried selections. The kitchen also handles Peking duck and Szechuan dishes, which shows strong technical capacity.
The dining room leans traditional with red and gold tones, lanterns, and carved panels. Overall, the experience feels refined, and it works well for group meals or occasions.

Address: Jl. Tukad Unda VIII, Panjer, Denpasar Selatan, Kota Denpasar
Contact Details: +6282233112192
Business Hours: Monday to Sunday: 7 AM – 10 PM
SUM x Co operates on a fast-service dim sum model, which already feels different from most spots in Bali. The kiosk-style setup is built for high-traffic areas like malls and offices.
Orders zip through a ready-to-steam setup with electric steamers and warmers—fast and fuss-free, though everything’s made centrally instead of fresh on-site.
Moreover, their fillings focus on chicken and shrimp, with halal-certified and ISO-standard production. Some items are even sourced locally, such as salted egg dumplings and pandan chicken.
Their open steaming counters let you see items being heated before serving. Plus, packaging is built for takeaway, and most orders leave within minutes.
Pricing stays consistent at around IDR 50,000 to IDR 60,000 per dish, so budgeting is straightforward. The menu runs deep with over 40 options, covering steamed and bun-based items.

4. Bai Yun Hot Pot

Address: Jl. Raya Nusa Dua Selatan, Sawangan, Nusa Dua, Kabupaten Badung
Contact Details: +623612092288
Business Hours: Monday to Sunday: 12 PM – 10:30 PM
Bai Yun Hot Pot sits inside The Apurva Kempinski Bali. It operates with a dual concept, serving dim sum at lunch and hot pot in the evening.
Chef Ho Weng Kit leads the kitchen, bringing international experience and technical control. That shows in the dough handling, portioning, and steaming accuracy across dishes.
Dim sum is offered through an all-you-can-eat setup from 12 PM to 3 PM, with up to 31 items. And the focus shifts to hot pot later in the day. Just note that this limits dim sum availability beyond lunch hours.
Still, service uses a table-order format where initial dishes are served, then refills are requested. This keeps pace steadily and avoids the usual buffet-style overcrowding.
The selection includes steamed dumplings and fried items, covering core dim sum categories. Ingredients include imported meats and seafood, which we are a fan of.
The space supports groups from small tables to large events that fit shared dining well.
Service is excellent
“Part of the Kempinski Hotel, this restaurant offers an exceptionally delicious All You Can Eat dim sum lunch on Saturday & Sunday. They offer many variety of high-quality steamed and fried dim sum, especially the roast duck, crispy fried pork belly, and shrimp dumplings are the best one. They also offer some desserts selection which also very nice to try. The service is also excellent and very warm to all customers. The comfortable and spacious dining room adds to the enjoyable atmosphere. Advance reservations are highly recommended. Highly recommended for a high-quality dim sum experience in Bali.”

Staff managed every expectation perfectly
“We visited this restaurant twice during our 12–15 January trip, and it was absolutely wonderful. The hotpot was excellent and the service was truly top class – the staff managed every expectation perfectly. The seafood was very fresh, and both the Peking duck and pepper beef were cooked beautifully. We loved every dish. The price is also very reasonable considering it is in a 5-star hotel.”

5. Table8 at Mulia Bali

Address: Mulia Resort, Kawasan Sawangan, Jl. Raya Nusa Dua Selatan, Benoa, Kec. Kuta Sel., Kabupaten Badung
Contact Details: +623613017777
Business Hours: Monday to Sunday: 12 PM – 3 PM and 6 PM – 11 PM
Table8 leans heavily into an imperial Chinese theme, with porcelain accents and silk-style finishes. The space feels curated rather than decorative, which matches the level of detail in the food.
Dim sum is handcrafted using Cantonese techniques, with thin wrappers and controlled steaming that show consistency. Fillings like prawn and pork come through cleanly, though the premium approach also raises expectations with every bite.
Plus, the menu covers over 40 dim sum items, including dumplings and fried selections. Service is also split between à la carte and buffet formats, with a Sunday dim sum session running in the morning.
It’s also great that the buffet system works through continuous kitchen output rather than self-service trays. Live cooking stations handle steaming, so dishes come out in controlled batches instead of sitting out.
Their tea service includes a Kung Fu tea performance, adding a cultural element to the meal. But know that pricing ranges from about IDR 250,000 to IDR 400,000 per person, landing squarely in the “fancy pants” tier.
The staff was so warm
“The dinner buffet is the Canton style. As an Asian, I would say this is extraordinary. Usually eating dim sum out of HK or China is a disaster. But this is over my expectation👍🏻 We were here to celebrate my bf’s bday, the staff was so warm, they sang together 😍 We felt surprised.”
