Swing Into the Best Deals at These 10 Golf Courses in Bali
When people talk about things to do in Bali, they usually mention the beaches, waterfalls, yoga studios, and beach clubs. But lately, golf’s been creeping way up the list for a good reason.
A few months ago, some of my friends and cousins visited. They were super excited to go golfing here, and honestly, I just went along for the ride.
What I didn’t expect was that I would actually love it. Some of these courses offer breathtaking views, such as jungle hills, serene lakes, or waves crashing just beside lush greenery.
So, here is the list of the best golf courses in Bali that we have visited over the years.
1. Bali National Golf Club

I never thought I’d get hooked on golfing until I tried a round at Bali National Golf Club. Located in Nusa Dua, this 18-hole course is so pristine and peaceful.
The course design really impressed me. It begins with lush tropical views and then winds its way towards coastal dunes, with the final holes offering a clear view of Mount Agung on sunny days.
The layout was revamped in 2014, and now it feels like playing through a resort, a jungle, and a seaside escape all in one. This is also the reason why the green fees are on the premium side.
It starts at IDR 2,350,000 (approximately $150) per person for 18 holes, which includes a golf cart and caddie. But if you book through their hotel partners or play during off-peak hours, you might score a better deal.
Pro Tip: If you want to avoid the crowd and the noise, aim for a tee-off around 7:30 AM. Trust me, the morning breeze makes the early wake-up call worth it. |
2. Handara Golf & Resort Bali

Located in the highlands of Bedugul, Handara Golf & Resort Bali is one of the most scenic spots I’ve ever teed off. The cool mountain air and misty lake views make this course feel like a completely different Bali.
It’s an 18-hole, par-72 championship course surrounded by ancient forests and crater lakes. The layout feels traditional but not dated, thanks to its designers Peter Thompson and Michael Wolveridge.
Rates are much more affordable here than others, and you can expect to pay around IDR 1,200,000 to IDR 1,400,000 (approximately $75 to $88) for 18 holes, including cart and caddie.
Pro Tip: Handara is also known for its iconic “Instagram Gate” at the entrance—that moss-covered Balinese gate you’ve probably seen online. I suggest showing up early if you want a photo without queuing behind couples in flowing dresses. |
3. New Kuta Golf Bali

Location: Jalan Raya Uluwatu,, Kawasan Pecatu Indah Resort Pecatu, Jimbaran, Kec. Kuta Sel., Kabupaten Badung

Hours: Monday to Sunday: 6 AM – 7 PM

New Kuta Golf, situated in Pecatu, is perched atop limestone cliffs, offering breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean. It almost distracts you from the difficulty of the layout.
This 18-hole, par-72 course features championship tees stretching over 7,500 yards. However, don’t worry, there are multiple tee boxes to make it beginner-friendly as well. The bumpy fairways and ocean winds make this course fun but challenging.
But what I like the most, and perhaps my friends would agree with me, is the modern facilities here. These include a stylish clubhouse, decent locker rooms, and a breezy restaurant overlooking the 18th hole.
Plus, it’s just a short drive from Uluwatu Temple, so you can enjoy sightseeing afterwards.
Pro Tip: New Kuta is the only course in Bali with a dedicated “Sunset 9” promo. This lets you play the cliffside back nine just before dusk for a fraction of the full rate. |
4. Bukit Pandawa Golf & Country Club

Many people consider this one of the most unique courses in Bali, featuring a full par-3 layout. But don’t let that fool you—Bukit Pandawa Golf is about dramatic cliff views, intricate bunkering, and carved limestone terrain.
It features 18 par-3 holes, each averaging 125 to 200 yards, all designed with their own unique flair. Some have ocean views, others have a temple backdrop. Even short hitters can feel like pros here.
Green fees range from Rp 1,100,000 to Rp 1,400,000, and they include a caddie and shared cart. This option is perfect if you’re short on time but still want to get your golf fix.
Pro Tip: Because it’s all par-3s, you can finish a round in under 2.5 hours. If you’re pairing this with sightseeing, we’d say go in the morning, then head straight to Sunday’s Beach Club nearby for a well-earned cocktail. |
5. Taman Dayu Golf Club & Resort

Location: Jl. Hang Tuah No.47, Sanur, Denpasar Selatan, Kota Denpasar
Contact: +623436741234
Hours: Monday to Sunday: 6 AM – 6 PM
Pricing: $
Taman Dayu is worth the quick domestic hop. It’s a Jack Nicklaus signature course that delivers well-groomed greens.
But before getting to this spot, you’ll first need to fly to Surabaya or take a long ferry via Banyuwangi, then drive to Pasuruan. But once you’re there, it’s one of the most well-kept courses in the country.
And you know why many people love this spot? It’s because it’s one of the most affordable golf courses in Bali (not just on this list). You can expect green fees of around IDR 1,000,000 to IDR 1,300,000 (approximately $63 to $82) on weekdays, with higher rates on weekends.
Plus, the on-site food is surprisingly decent. We had one of the best soto ayam bowls there.
Pro Tip: Pack light and don’t forget to bring your own gloves. While gear rental is available, please note that it’s fairly basic. |
6. Bali Island Golf Academy

They offer private lessons, short-game coaching, and even full-day clinics. To be honest, their one-hour session can already be beneficial in correcting any poor bunker shots.
Just remember that rates vary. Private lessons with a PGA-certified coach start around IDR 900,000 (about $57) per hour. Kids’ sessions and group classes are cheaper.
One of their unique offerings is the Individual Package, where you’ll get one-on-one coaching with a PGA pro using TrackMan 4 and video analysis. After the lesson, they’ll even send you drills and stay in touch via a messaging app for follow-up advice.
Pro Tip: Ask for a video analysis during your lesson. They’ll film your swing and break it down frame by frame. This is super helpful if you’re a visual learner. |

Inside the exclusive Mandapa Ritz-Carlton Reserve lies a small, private putting lawn overlooking the Ayung River. While it’s not a full course, it offers resort guests a luxe mini golf escape.
It’s ideal for unwinding after a spa day or yoga session, accompanied by the sound of rushing water and jungle birds in the background.
But you won’t find public rates here. It’s exclusive to overnight guests, who pay at least IDR 12,000,000 ($750) per night. But if you’re already staying, I suggest you take advantage of it.
The staff even provides chilled towels and mocktails while you play.
Pro Tip: Book during the low season or shoulder months for a more personalized service experience. They’ve been known to set up a twilight putting with lanterns and bring out herbal mocktails while you practice. |

They’ve partnered with all the top courses, so you’ll often get better rates and earlier tee slots than booking directly. We loved that they tailored our trip around our schedule, including a last-minute detour to a spa after our round of golf.
They also offer VIP packages and golf tours for special occasions, featuring 5- to 7-night or 13-night stay-and-play hotel packages that include twin-share or single-occupancy options.
Pro Tip: Ask about mid-week or off-season bookings. Some hotels offer extras, such as daily breakfast, club rentals, or complimentary airport transfers, if you’re staying for more than five nights. |

Smash Factor isn’t your average golf shop. It’s one of the newest facilities on the list, having opened just a few years ago. It’s an indoor golf studio and training center that’s seriously into tech.
They cater to all levels, offering one-on-one lessons with their PGA-certified coaches, including swing diagnostics, launch monitor data, and slow-motion video breakdowns.
