1. Ling-Ling’s Bali

Address: Jl. Petitenget No.43B, Kerobokan Kelod, Kec. Kuta Utara, Kabupaten Badung
Contact: +62 819 1641 7867
Operating Hours:
- Monday to Sunday: 11:00 AM – 12:00 AM
Stepping into Ling-Ling’s in Seminyak feels like entering that cool friend’s living room where the playlist is perfect, and the lights are just right.
I recently dropped by on a Friday night for their “Funky Fridays”, and it was one of those experiences worth planning around.
Running every Friday from early evening until about 10 PM, the deal means 50% off on Ling’s favorite dishes. It’s the perfect time to sample more of their playful Asian fusion menu without breaking the bank.
For IDR 80,000, I tried the Miso-Glazed Salmon—a generous 160g fillet served with baked pumpkin, stir-fried cauliflower, and a dash of Gochujang. The dish was rich yet balanced, perfect for any day, honestly.
They also have a live DJ from 8:00 PM, and you’ve got music, food, and good vibes all rolling together. Drink lovers have treats too. Espresso martinis are just IDR 50,000 all night.
One minor downside is that it gets quite noisy during peak hours.
Beyond Fridays, the restaurant keeps the fun going with promotions such as “50k Lunch Deals” every day from 11 AM – 4 PM and daily “Happy Hour” specials, including buy-one-get-one cocktails.
Puts a fun twist on many dishes
“This is a special restaurant a ‘nailing’ a larger menu that puts a fun twist on many dishes.
The tuna sushi roll super fresh and nicely prepared. Also my favorite- crispy rice with tuna – because you cannot find this in many places.
The oysters bao were cooked perfectly crispy and the portion was generous, with high quality buns and had the proper accompaniments.
The beef rendang taco was delicious.
The cheeseburger egg rolls are exactly what you think, and they are pretty tasty.
I happened to go for lunch the first time and found the lunch menu ( offered with iced tea) to be a crazy good deal.
Have a go at this place, I’m sure it’s widely known but I was surprised it was so great.
I really had no expectations going into it.
Also the marketing director was interested in my experience, she was so friendly and made me feel so welcome.”

Perfect spot for families and anyone who’s up for fun
“We visited Ling Lings after seeing it recommended by so many people, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. We brought our baby along and were welcomed straight away. the staff were so lovely and kept fussing over her, which made the whole night even sweeter.
Their happy hour dice game (5–7pm) is such a good laugh. You call odds or evens, you roll, and you’ve either scored yourself a free drink or a funny moment 😂 not sure what addiction I now have (alcohol or gambling lol jk)
The food was delicious and the atmosphere was on point, but the real highlight was how genuinely warm and friendly the team was. Perfect spot for families and anyone who’s up for a fun. We’ll definitely be back!”

Contact: +62 361 934 8468
Operating Hours:
- Monday to Sunday: 12:00 PM – 11:00 PM
For steak aficionados seeking an elevated dining experience in Bali, Boy’N’Cow delivers a masterclass in flavor and craftsmanship.
The restaurant’s focus on dry-aged steaks sets it apart. Each cut is sourced from carefully selected grain or grass-fed beef farms in Australia, the United States, and Japan.
One standout feature is the Boys Club, Boy’N’Cow’s in-house membership program that adds another layer to the experience.
You enjoy 15% off their total bill credited back for future visits, receive newsletters with exclusive promotions and menu updates, and gain access to bonuses and monthly competitions.
The restaurant also houses a mezzanine cocktail lounge, where selections of single malt whiskies and premium cigars elevate the evening into a full sensory experience. It’s the kind of space where you can linger over drinks as much as over your perfectly cooked steak.
The only potential inconvenience is limited on-site parking. Valet service is the only option, so consider it if you’re arriving during peak hours.
The drinks were divine, and the food was next-level
“We were on an overnighter trip through Bali on our way home to Australia after a week in Flores.
We stumbled across Boy N Cow on google maps and decided we would try it.
Having NOooooo idea the incredible experience that we were about to participate in.
Because truly it is an experience.
So we stumbled into Boy N Cow, without a reservation or not suitably dressed.
The reception staff didn’t miss a beat and found a table for 2 at late notice as long as we had. Freed the table for its 8:30 booking.
We heartedly agreed.
What a fantastic venue, incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, responsive and friendly staff.
We were waited on by Mila and Putu, who both really knew the menu and the items that weren’t on the menu, but may have been available.
The drinks were divine, the food next level-such great steaks for these carnivore! One of these carnivores never orders steak when they are out, because mostly it doesn’t meet their steak expectation! Boy N Cow exceeded our expectations.
Great vibe, attentive manager and we will be back and have already made recommendations to two of our Bali visiting friends.
Thanks Mila and Putu for taking good care of us and the kitchen staff for the seriously well cooked rare steaks!
10/10 for 🙆♂️-N-🐮”

The food was nothing short of exceptional
“Absolutely outstanding experience at Boy’n’Cow. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was electric — warm, stylish, and buzzing without being overwhelming. The vibe alone sets the tone for a great night.
The food was nothing short of exceptional. Every cut of steak was cooked to perfection — beautifully seasoned, incredibly tender, and bursting with flavour. You can genuinely taste the quality and care that goes into every plate. Sides were just as impressive, elevating the meal rather than playing a supporting role.
What truly took the experience to another level, however, was the service — especially our waitress Mila. Mila was phenomenal: attentive without hovering, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely warm and engaging. Her recommendations were spot-on, her timing impeccable, and she made us feel genuinely looked after rather than just served. It’s rare to come across service that feels this effortless yet professional.
This is the kind of place where everything aligns — exceptional food, incredible service, and a fantastic atmosphere. Boy’n’Cow is an absolute must-visit, and Mila is a true credit to the venue. We’ll be back without hesitation.”

This has just become one of our must-go-tos
“Wow what an amazing feast we had today! We had the prawn gyoza, scallop pancakes, beef carpaccio, lobster shrimp pop corn, soft shell crab and tuna on squid ink and sago crisps. Please see the photos below. The photos don’t do the flavours justice! The sauces are paired so perfectly!
The food is extremely reasonable for the exceptional taste! Our bill was only increased because of a bottle of cheapest bubbles which was $75 (fairly normal in Bali).
The service was impeccable, the atmosphere was perfect, and the aircon comfort to die for! My husband and I have our secret love Nobu but this has just become one of our must go to’s!”

4. Kekeb

Address: ITDC Area Nusa Dua, Lot C-0, Jl. Nusa Dua, Benoa, Kec. Kuta Sel., Kabupaten Badung
Contact: +62 817 7669 9369
Operating Hours:
- Monday to Sunday: 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM
Tucked away in Nusa Dua with beachfront views, Kekeb Restaurant has become one of Bali’s cherished spots for authentic Indonesian and Balinese cuisine since 2018.
Their diverse menu includes all the classics. Think deeply spiced rendang, tender chicken betutu, and smoky sate. There’s also succulent grilled honey chicken and live seafood infused with Balinese spices.
What makes a visit here even more memorable is the Balinese Cooking Class experience.
I joined one afternoon, and it was a positive experience. Under the guidance of local chefs, I learned to prepare a range of traditional dishes right by the ocean. I made spice pastes, satay, and nasi goreng. We then sat down to enjoy the food afterwards.
Many packages also include a scenic market tour and ingredients that showcase beloved Balinese flavors.
But Kekeb isn’t just about great food; the restaurant is also rooted in community. Since starting, they’ve been involved with food drives and fundraising programs.
The only downside I noticed is that there aren’t widely advertised ongoing deals or discounts on the main site. You’ll need to monitor third-party offers and seasonal promotions.
Genuine Balinese dinner that combines flavor, presentation, and atmosphere
“Kekeb Restaurant delivers a rich and authentic Balinese dining experience that feels both welcoming and memorable.
The presentation alone sets the tone, with beautifully arranged dishes served on banana leaves that immediately connect you to local tradition.
The flavors are layered and satisfying, from grilled seafood and skewers to fresh vegetables, fragrant rice, and classic accompaniments.
Everything tastes thoughtfully prepared, balanced, and true to Balinese cuisine rather than watered down for tourists.
The setting adds to the charm. Dining outdoors in the evening with soft lighting creates a relaxed and intimate atmosphere.
Fresh coconut drinks and light desserts are the perfect finish to the meal.
A special mention to Pebri, our hostess, who was friendly, attentive, and made the experience even more enjoyable.
If you want a genuine Balinese dinner that combines flavor, presentation, and atmosphere, Kekeb Restaurant is a great choice while in Nusa Dua.”

From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming
“We had a wonderful dining experience at Kekeb Restaurant. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. We started with the calamari, which was surprisingly delicious. The black sauce that came with it was a perfect mix of sweet and spicy, creating a really nice balance that made the dish stand out.
For our mains, we ordered the Chicken Sate Lilit set and the Grilled Honey Chicken. Both dishes were excellent. The sate lilit, wrapped around lemongrass, had such a fragrant and authentic flavour that made it even more enjoyable. The grilled honey chicken was tender, juicy, and had just the right amount of sweetness. Together, the dishes showcased the rich and comforting flavours of Balinese cuisine.
What truly made our visit special was the service. One of the staff members, Dewi, took amazing care of us throughout the meal. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and very talkative in the best way. Her warm personality and genuine hospitality made us feel comfortable and well looked after. She added a personal touch to our dining experience that we really appreciated.”

Operating Hours:
- Monday to Sunday: 10:00 AM – 11:00 PM
Makan Place is exactly what its name promises—a place to eat, share, and savor life’s best moments through food and drinks.
Located in the heart of Legian, this cozy restaurant blends local Indonesian flavors with global influences, making it a go-to spot for locals and tourists alike.
One of Makan’s daily deals is their 2-for-1 selected cocktails for IDR 180,000, from 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM. It’s a great way to kick off an early afternoon with friends or keep the vibes rolling after brunch.
During my visit, a friend ordered a crowd favorite—Balinese crackling pork knuckle. It’s a slow-roasted dish with golden, crackling skin and tender meat. It pairs perfectly with sambal matah and steamed rice.
Makan Place has even been recognized with a TripAdvisor Traveller’s Choice Award. This shows they have consistently pleasing food, warm hospitality, and an inviting atmosphere for all customers.
If there’s one caveat, it’s that it gets really crowded during happy hour or late in the afternoon. This makes it hard to get walk-in seats.
Blown away by how tasty and well-prepared everything was
“We had such a wonderful dinner at Makan Place in Legian and I can’t recommend it enough! The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with a charming open-air setting that captures the essence of Bali. The service was warm, attentive, and friendly from the moment we arrived – the staff genuinely made us feel at home.
I ordered the satay sticks with rice and was blown away by how tasty and well-prepared everything was. The satay was grilled to perfection – tender, juicy, and packed with flavour. The peanut sauce was rich and creamy with just the right balance of sweet and savoury. It came with a generous portion of fluffy rice, making it a hearty and satisfying meal.
This place also allows for split billing. Located on a corner. very laid back setting.”

Good food, efficient service, and a pleasant atmosphere
“Makan Place Legian, Bali is a great spot for a comfortable and enjoyable dining experience. The staff are polite, attentive, and always welcome guests with a warm smile, which instantly sets a pleasant tone. Reservations can be made easily via online platforms or WhatsApp, and even with a booking, waiting time is impressively short — you’ll be guided to your table in less than three minutes.
The menu offers a wide selection of both Balinese and Western dishes, catering to different tastes. Their signature cracking pork is a must-try, but I’d recommend ordering it for at least four people, as the portion is very generous and perfect for sharing. The pizza and pasta are also well prepared and satisfying, making it a good choice even if you’re in the mood for Western comfort food.
Beverage options include both non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks, giving diners plenty of choices to complement their meal. The restaurant’s ambience is relaxed, clean, and welcoming, making it suitable for casual meals, group gatherings, or even a laid-back dinner after a day out in Legian.
Overall, Makan Place Legian delivers good food, efficient service, and a pleasant atmosphere — definitely worth a visit when you’re in Bali.”
