Sweat It Out at These 5 Must-Try Saunas in Bali
We always thought saunas were only for cold-weather countries. Then Bali proved us wrong. One wellness center visit turned into a whole journey of detoxing and feeling lighter inside and out.
There is something healing about the warm silence and the feeling of stress leaving your body. It made us realize that wellness is a full-body experience, not just a trend.
So if you crave a reset beyond massages and beaches, here are the best saunas in Bali to help you breathe better and feel renewed.
How much does a sauna session cost in Bali?
A sauna session in Bali typically costs between IDR 100,000 and IDR 500,000 per person, depending on the type of sauna, location, and the amenities included. Some spots offer package deals or memberships that lower the cost per visit.
1. ZA Sauna Renon

Address: Jl. Tukad Badung XVI B No.16E, Renon, Denpasar Selatan, Kota Denpasar,
Contact Details: +6282144408606
Business Hours: Monday to Sunday: 12 PM – 12 AM
ZA Sauna Renon, or “ザ Sauna Bali Renon,” feels like a serene retreat designed for complete disconnection. It’s a kamakura-style sauna, inspired by Japanese snow huts, featuring softly curved interiors and a minimalist layout that radiates relaxation.
The pricing is straightforward, with a rate of IDR 250,000 per session. Meanwhile, KITAS holders pay only IDR 150,000, making it easy to visit regularly.
Its operating hours from 12:00 PM to midnight make it one of the few spots in Bali where night owls can unwind under the stars.
One of its best features is the combination of sauna, cold plunge, and hot bath, designed for full-body recovery. The seamless transition from intense heat to a chilling dip leaves you with that instant post-sauna calm.
The Balinese-meets-modern aesthetic adds another layer of charm with warm lighting and touches of natural wood, making the space serene without feeling pretentious.
However, for those who enjoy starting their wellness journey early, the late opening time may be inconvenient. Since it only begins operations at noon, morning sauna-goers will need to plan their sessions later in the day.
You cannot ask for more
“The place is so pristine! You have locker, shower, toilet, sauna, jacuzzi, ice bath, pool, cannot ask for more! Please also try their Japanese scrub and massage. These additional services are great too. Just too bad there is no food, so if you’re planning to stay longer, bring your own food! The price is reasonable 165k for local and 275k for foreigner. Definitely will be on my monthly calendar!”

Incredibly refreshing and relaxing
“I absolutely loved my first Totonoi experience at Za Sauna Bali! 🥰 The place is pristine clean, and the staff are so friendly and helpful. I had such a restful sleep after going through the ritual of hot soak, sauna, and cold plunge 🥹✨—it was incredibly refreshing and relaxing. I didn’t expect to enjoy the cold plunge, especially since I usually can’t handle the cold 🥶, but it actually helped soothe my sore muscles and felt so refreshing. This definitely wouldn’t be my last visit to Za Sauna as I’m also curious to try their post-sauna drink 🍹🤔😋”

2. Santai Recovery Spa

Address: Jl. Buana Sari Gg. Pirta, Pecatu, Kec. Kuta Sel., Kabupaten Badung
Contact Details: +447833303239
Business Hours: Monday to Sunday: 8 AM – 1:30 PM and 3:30 PM – 9 PM
Santai Recovery Spa in Uluwatu is designed for those who take recovery as seriously as their workouts. The setting exudes a no-fuss energy, centered on performance and balance rather than indulgence.
The real draw here is its contrast therapy experience, combining a sauna and cold plunge in one cycle. The 60-minute session priced around IDR 200,000 feels fair, especially for those who plan to make it part of their weekly recovery routine.
Getting there can be tricky if you’re not based in the Bukit area, as it’s slightly located away from the usual tourist zones. The travel time can eat into your day, particularly if you’re coming from central Bali or Seminyak.
Inside, the recovery tools feel top-tier. You’ll see compression boots, Normatec systems, and infrared setups that rival those found in professional athletic facilities.
The garden setting adds a soft contrast to the otherwise sporty vibe, offering just enough calm to unwind after a surf or gym session.
People mostly came here to chill and read
“Loved this place! I was looking for an ice bath and hot bath because I don’t like saunas. This place has both ice and hot baths. There’s a lovely (normal temp) pool in the middle where you can take a dip too. The ice bath does have a clock overhead but it’s almost the same colour of the bamboo so you might miss it.
Chill environment, people generally spoke quietly. Nice garden setting with chillhop music playing. It looks like people mostly came here to chill and read. They give you towels when you check in. I really wish there were more sun umbrellas because it got really hot, and the only place with shade is 4 bean bags in one corner.”

It wasn’t so packed like everywhere else
“This space was so welcoming! Eric at the front desk is a sweetheart. The sauna is spacious and clean; the ice bath is cold and peaceful. I loved that it wasn’t so packed like everywhere else in Uluwatu. I enjoyed the peace and quiet at Santai. The environment pushed me to challenge myself to stay longer than I have in both the sauna and ice bath— never felt more refreshed and rejuvenated.”

3. Putri Bali Spa

Address: Jl. Raya Sanggingan, Kedewatan, Kecamatan Ubud, Kabupaten Gianyar
Contact Details: +6281399666444
Business Hours: Monday to Sunday: 9 AM – 9 PM
Putri Bali Spa offers an experience rooted in local tradition. It’s a convenient wellness escape surrounded by lush greenery and calm energy.
What sets it apart is its thoughtfully curated packages. The Detox Package includes a 30-minute sauna session, a Balinese massage, and additional benefits. Each stage seamlessly flows into the next for a comprehensive full-body refresh.
The 30-minute sauna session, priced at IDR 150,000, is a great value. It’s easy to see why guests often include it as a warm-up to enhance circulation before the massage and scrub.
One drawback, though, is the compact sauna space, which can feel restrictive for those who prefer more room to unwind. It’s better suited for short detox-style sessions rather than long, meditative soaks.
Beyond the sauna, the spa’s Balinese touches. These include flower baths, herbal oils, and views of rice fields, making it worth seeking out in Ubud.
The facility was beautiful, and the staff was exceptional
“I was able to make an appointment same day. They responded very quickly through whatsapp. The facility was beautiful and the staff was exceptional. The room for my experience blew me away.
I booked the Sensation of Javanese Lulur. I really wanted the flower bath and this package was reasonably priced. It came with a massage with oil , a scrub to exfoliate the skin, & a flower bath! Highly recommend.”

4. ATMOS

Address: Jl. Pantai Cemongkak, Pecatu, Kec. Kuta Sel., Kabupaten Badung
Contact Details: +6281139415001
Business Hours: Monday to Sunday: 9 AM – 11 PM
ATMOS takes a modern and immersive approach to wellness. It features a sleek design that combines sensory experiences, merging heat and ritual into a single space.
Unlike typical dry saunas, ATMOS features a hand-crafted clay steam dome that delivers a more earthy warmth.
However, those seeking a Finnish-style dry sauna might find the high humidity less satisfying, as the steam-based setup offers a very different sensation.
Each steam journey is guided by a trained facilitator. They incorporate fragrant steam, herbal veniks, and rhythmic flow.
Guests can alternate between the steam dome and cold plunge, following the “heat-cool-rest” pattern that boosts circulation and clarity.
There’s also a free flow option, allowing guests to move at their own pace between experiences. This is ideal for those who prefer flexibility over structure.
Beyond the steam rituals, the BodyLab section offers advanced facials and muscle-sculpting treatments, creating a hybrid space for both recovery and beauty.
Everything is clean and beautifully designed
“Absolutely amazing experience! This place is simply divine. The sauna is incredible — every 30 minutes, they offer special guided sessions that elevate the entire experience. You can truly feel the benefits. The ice bath is perfectly cold and refreshing, offering the ideal contrast after the heat. Everything is clean, beautifully designed, and thoughtfully curated. If you’re looking for a place to relax, reset, and feel amazing, this is it. Highly recommend!”
