Horizon Glassworks has been around since 2005, building a loyal following for its custom creations. You can easily place a custom order for shot glasses, pendant lamps, grand chandeliers, and more.
Additionally, customers can conveniently tailor the color, size, and quantity to their needs. Thanks to the user-friendly website, placing a custom order is simple and hassle-free.
Even better, they offer top-notch glassblowing sessions. I attended one, and it took less than an hour. I made a bowl and customized the colors to match my home aesthetic.
I also appreciated how approachable and patient the instructors are, led by Jeremiah Hacobs and Gage Stephens. Our small class size (6 people maximum) made it a fun, interactive experience. Kids can join too, so it’s a great family activity.
For a deeper dive, their Glassblowing 101 Training Course runs for four weeks. You will learn the basics of glassblowing, including shaping techniques, color application, and design integration.
Classes here cost around IDR 5.9 million (USD 350), which is a steal because you get an unforgettable, solid hands-on learning experience.

Every moment was filled with awe and creativity
“Family Core Memories at Its Finest!
We booked a family glassblowing workshop at Horizon Glassworks, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! As a family of four (two adults, two kids), we were guided by Gage, our incredible glassmaster, who made the entire process fun, exciting, and hands-on—especially for the kids. His warm and welcoming energy, combined with his deep passion for glass art, turned this into something far beyond a simple workshop.
From the first spark of molten glass to shaping our own masterpieces, every moment was filled with awe and creativity. Gage shared fascinating insights about glassblowing, making us appreciate this art form even more. We got to take home our very own handcrafted pieces—memories of a magical day.
For any family looking to create something truly special together, this is an experience not to be missed. Set in the stunning Nuanu City area, Horizon Glassworks is the perfect place to bond, learn, and make memories that last a lifetime. Highly, highly recommended!”

2. Focus Design Artglass Manufacturer

Address: Jl. Raya Mas No.148, Mas, Kecamatan Ubud, Kabupaten Gianyar, 80571
Contact: +62 812 3606 5142
Operating Hours:
- Monday to Saturday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Sunday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
I first came across Focus Design while seeking a truly unique artisan experience in Bali, and I discovered much more than a glass maker. It’s a long-standing creative glass studio with roots stretching back to 2005 in Ubud, Bali.
Many customers love the wide variety of products. There are glass-on-wood, teak bowl decor, candle holders, and shaped plates, among others.
The studio is based in Gianyar, Bali, and has been creating and designing unique art for both local and international clients. They also ship their custom work, which is a big plus if you are not based in Bali but still want a piece of their art in your home.
If there’s one thing that could be improved, it’s more clarity around custom order timelines and pricing online. I found myself asking a few extra questions before I understood what to expect.
But here’s an interesting fact: if you happen to be around the studio, visitors can see artisans at work, watching molten glass being shaped and finished before it becomes a finished product to take home.
A store with a huge selection of glass things – both decorative and useful
“A store with HUUUGE selection of glass things – both decorative and useful. Do it themselves on the backyard (have a look from the window in the back!). Give nice discounts if you take a lot. Pack it in a bubble wrap and write papers for the customs if needed. but beware, you might spend over an hour there, trying to take it all ;)”

3. Era Glass Bali

Contact: +62 896 6690 5019
Operating Hours:

I first discovered Era Glass Bali while searching for a studio that could do more than basic stained-glass work, and I was impressed by their legacy.
With roots dating back to 1990 in Jakarta and expanding to Bali in 2005, Era Glass has become one of Indonesia’s most respected and longest-running stained-glass studios.
What initially pulled me in was that it isn’t just a workshop, it’s a family-led creative hub. The studio remains guided by its founding vision and is staffed by a team of seven master cutters, painters, and metalsmiths.
Their approach combines modern tools, such as computer-assisted design, with meticulous hand-cutting and painting techniques. I also appreciate how they prioritize lead-free materials and safety without sacrificing the depth and vibrancy of colors that make their stained glass look magical.
They also have a showroom and a climate-controlled studio that gave me a firsthand look at their pieces. Their attention to detail and the care they put into every project were unbelievable.
Another feat? ERA has completed over 2,400 installations since its inception, and its creations are shipped worldwide. However, a few customers reported that delivery timelines were not met. Nevertheless, they were pleased that their orders arrived intact.
The product is even more beautiful in person
“obsessed with the geometric design and the bold color palette of this panel. The balance between the structured grid and the central circular motif is perfect. It’s even more beautiful in person when the sun hits it”

4. Krystal Bali

Address: Tirtagangga complex, Tirta Gangga, Tourist Object, Jl. Raya Tirta Gangga, Ababi, Kabupaten Karangasem, Bali 80852, Indonesia
Contact: +62 812 1105 0760
Operating Hours:
- Monday to Sunday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Krystal Bali is the island’s only dedicated glass-casting studio, offering a range of small-format creations from homeware and jewelry to architectural and lighting pieces.
Established in 2017, the studio specializes in the lost-wax glass casting process, in which skilled Balinese artisans pour molten glass into detailed molds, transforming raw materials into precise, high-quality works of art.
Beyond the usual, Krystal Bali creates thick glass castings for architectural applications, including sleek bar installations and bathroom accents.
The studio also creates unique lighting designs, including table lamps, wall sconces, and ceiling fixtures. They also create outdoor or garden lighting, all of which is created with functionality and attention to detail.
For collectors of fine craftsmanship, there is an extensive line of crystal castings inspired by the traditions of Lalique, Daum, and Baccarat, often paired with sterling silver or semi-precious stones.
The only minor drawback is that the small-format focus means they rarely accommodate larger pieces. If you need a larger glass piece, you may need to look for other studios.

Bali Deco Glass is a decorative studio that goes beyond standalone glass pieces.
Based in Denpasar, the company is known as a decor-focused studio and supplier that blends glass with a wide range of interior and exterior design elements. They are a versatile manufacturer, exporter, and supplier of home and garden products.
Rather than focusing solely on glass art, they also work with a wide range of materials. These include wood, stone, and ceramics.
Their offerings include furniture, pottery, and garden pots. They also offer glass pieces of lamps, statues, and murals, all designed to add personality and artistic flair to any space.
What really sets Bali Deco Glass apart is its focus on custom design—clients can work with its in-house designers to bring their ideas to life.
You will also find pieces that blend traditional Balinese motifs with modern designs, making their work adaptable to any space (villa, home interiors, or a commercial space).
The studio also ships and supplies items to areas beyond Bali, giving both local and international buyers access to Bali-inspired decor and handcrafted pieces.
If I had one suggestion, it’s that the company post clearer pricing and more examples of finished custom pieces. This would help new customers decide, especially if they’re on a budget.
