Top 5 Exquisite Dessert Boutiques and Artisanal Sweet Shops in Bali to Spoil Your Sweet Tooth
There’s truly nothing like a sweet treat. While some might prefer the more common candy, I find myself enjoying a sampling of artisanal sweets—and Bali has a good selection of shops for them.
The main thing that sets them apart is the overall quality and flavor. They’re far more delectable and addictive (and not overly sweet!). These sweets are also visually appealing, and I sometimes find myself mesmerized by them.
But because there are just so many to choose from, I’ve gathered some of the best dessert boutiques and artisanal sweet shops in Bali I could find. These spots represent the very best of Bali’s dessert scene, and they’re absolutely worth a visit.

Sinamon Bali Ubud is a lovely cafe that specialises in cinnamon rolls. I appreciate that they are not only located in Ubud but also have several locations across the island, including Pererenan and Jimbaran.
They offer a wide selection of cinnamon rolls. My favorites are the Ube Roll and the Nutella Roll, which are delectable and extremely rich. Aside from these, they offer excellent coffee and matcha that are sure to wake anyone up.
Don’t worry, everything is made fresh daily. They can even create vegan and gluten-free options for customers—just be sure to call beforehand.
They also serve monthly flavors, so there’s always something new to try. Please note that it takes them some time to prepare gift orders.
Pricing-wise, your wallet won’t scream. I love that a single cinnamon roll costs only IDR 40,000, and you can even get them in boxes for IDR 120,000.
Customers found their locations ideal study places, thanks to stable Wi-Fi, comfortable seating, and a quiet atmosphere.
The bread was soft and warm
“Ordered the OG cinnamon roll, the bread was soft and warm, with original icing which complements the roll very nicely. The topping was generous but not overwhelmingly sweet!
They also have a rotating menu (changing monthly)
📌Listed to comfort food on rainy days!
Will definetely come back…”

2. The Sweet Escape Cafe & Bakery

Address: Jl. Pantai Batu Mejan No.15A, Canggu, Kec. Kuta Utara, Kabupaten Badung, 80351
Contact Details: +62 821-4612-2404
Operating Hours: Monday to Sunday: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Offering a wide variety of gluten-free baked goods and cakes, The Sweet Escape Cafe & Bakery is a wonderful spot to hang out and enjoy a lovely dessert.
Led by Chef Lami, a passionate pastry chef who trained in Saudi Arabia for 12 years, she creates all the desserts with a Middle-Eastern influence that’s simply unique in Bali.
I always go for the Choco Hazelnut Cake when heading here, since it’s such a rich and decadent flavor. I also enjoy their pies, specifically the Chicken Curry one, since the savoriness is a great balance to the rest of the sweets.
It’s great that customers can order custom creations and specialty cakes. Additionally, customers can order their bread and cakes wholesale.
Cakes start at IDR 30,000, which I find reasonable. They also offer drinks, such as lattes and Americanos, starting at IDR 25,000.
However, if you’d like to order, I’d suggest using WhatsApp rather than by phone, as WhatsApp is much more responsive.
Everything was amazing
“I ordered a vegan, gluten-free and nut-free cake along with vanilla blueberry cupcakes for my daughter’s school, and everything was amazing. The cake was light, delicious and beautifully prepared, and the cupcakes were soft, flavorful and made with very clean ingredients.
I really appreciated the care they put into respecting all the allergen requirements., and the communication was smooth and reassuring. Everything was ready on time and the children loved it.
Highly recommended, especially if you need safe and healthy options for schools or kids with allergies!”

Led by Chef Vincent Nigita, Kanvaz Patisserie focuses on crafting exquisite French desserts while integrating Indonesian flavors. Established in 2021 by Vincent, the patisserie is a wonderful culinary experience you simply can’t miss.
Located in Badung, Kanvaz is quite accessible through public transport and private vehicles.
They’re a trailblazer in the Haute Couture culture in Indonesia, which I found to be quite glamorous. The patisserie offers several iconic sweets, including macarons and cakes. I enjoy their flaky croissants.
Additionally, they have a lovely tea room that’s a perfect place to enjoy these delectable sweets. They also offer breakfast and lunch, so it’s convenient for those staying nearby.
However, I found it difficult to book a table since they’re quite popular. So when heading here, I’d suggest booking weeks in advance.
The chocolate eclair is simply outstanding
“The chocolate éclair is simply outstanding — soft, fresh, and filled with the most delicious, creamy chocolate. It honestly tastes just like the ones you find in Paris, maybe even better. The balance between the light pastry and the rich filling is perfect, and you can really tell it’s made with care and quality ingredients. It’s definitely something you shouldn’t miss if you visit — a true highlight on the menu and highly recommended for anyone who loves desserts!”

The presentation is elegant, the quality feels premium, and you can really taste the finesse of a well-executed patisserie. A great spot when you’re craving refined desserts with consistent quality. Definitely worth coming back for. Highly recommended. 10/10”

Contact Details: +62 822-9944-8338
Operating Hours: Monday to Sunday: 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM
Poule de Luxe is a beloved patisserie that’s known for replicating the authentic taste of several French pastries. They specialise in cream puffs and macarons, but don’t shy away from baking traditional pastries such as croissants and chocolatine.
They’re located at Kuta Utara, which is near Ngurah Rai International Airport.
I often order the Apple Crumble, priced at around IDR 45,000. When looking for something sweeter, I go for their Red Velvet cupcakes, which are just sweet enough to enjoy.
They also sell cinnamon rolls and offer unique pastries, including almond croissants and almond chocolatines.
Customers find ordering on their website convenient and easy. Additionally, customers have used them to cater events and weddings. They’ve also collaborated with several businesses in Bali, including LALA Bistronomy and Bintang Supermarket.
Still, their closing time can be misleading, as they often close before 10:00 PM.

5. Heavenly Chocolate Bali

Address: Jl. Dewi Sri No.23 Blok 3, Legian, Kec. Kuta, Kabupaten Badung, 80361
Contact Details: +62 812-4664-4826
Operating Hours: Monday to Sunday: 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM
Established in 2018, Heavenly Chocolate Bali is beloved by locals for its handcrafted chocolates made with superior ingredients.
I like that they’re partnered with Yayasan Tangan Pengharapan’s Adopsi Desa programme. This helps ensure children receive nutritious meals with every purchase.
As for products, I often go for their dark chocolate, which has a balanced blend of bitterness and sweetness. For a more modern take, I’d go with their matcha, sourced directly from Uji, Kyoto.
Customers can order these in square or long boxes, the latter offering two flavors instead of just one. These can also be ordered online and arrive fresh and well packaged.
They even have several other stores across Bali, including one at Ngurah Rai Airport and another at the Ngurah Rai Bypass. However, all of their locations are quite crowded, so expect to wait at least 2 hours before you can order.
I always come here whenever I visit Bali
“I always come here whenever I visit Bali. The staff are very nice and friendly. I love the chocolate, the taste and texture are great. It’s chunky, and the sweetness is just right for me since I don’t like it too sweet. They give ice gel and even offer to replace it at their airport shop if you want to take it home. My favorites are matcha and milk caramel.”

One of the most well-known places in Bali
“One of the most well-known places in Bali to buy their classic chocolate! They offer a variety of flavour selections, from the classic dark., extra dark, hazelnut, and many more! They have a nice display and neat packaging, elevating the overall quality for the price you’re paying, and great for gifts and souvenirs. Ordered their classic dark, and overall it has rich chocolate flavours, and the texture of the chocolate truffles is also soft and decadent.”
