1. ZERO GRAVITY DIVING – BALI

Address: Jl. Sekuta No.40, Sanur, Denpasar Selatan, Kota Denpasar, 80228
Contact Details: +62 821-4650-4530, [email protected]
Operating Hours: Monday to Sunday: 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM
ZERO GRAVITY DIVING has over 12,000 dives and over 900 snorkeling trips under its belt. They have high standards for diving and are led by PADI experts who debrief clients before they set foot in the water.
They are based in Denpasar but primarily dive in Nusa Penida and Lembongan. These are wonderful places that have lush coral reefs that stretch for miles.
Regarding preparations, I truly appreciate the sense of safety they provide. Clients are expected to complete the PADI OWD Course, which teaches them to dive in deep waters.
ZERO GRAVITY DIVING charges and caters dives based on the experience of the client and the number of dives they will be doing. A certified diver will be able to avail 3 dives for IDR 3,000,000, but a NON-Certified Diver can only avail 2 dives for the same price.
These prices, however, are quite steep compared to others. But the quality is unmatched, so I’d still highly recommend them.
Shared 5 dives with these guys, and I truly wasn’t disappointed
“Shared 5 dives with these guys and I truly wasn’t disappointed. A friend of mine has been diving with them since they first opened their doors. From start to finish, professionalism and great guides. With some laughter to go with. My eye sight is not the best so really appreciate being shown things that I could have potentially missed. Thank you. Can highly recommend these guys.”

The organizer is truly the best-in-class
“This organizer is truely the best-in-class.
All instructions are given very clearly and precisely.
The boat are exceptional well, much bigger and stronger than others.
Last but not least, if you’re shortsighted like me, with different diopter of each eye, don’t worry as Zero Gravity Diving also provide prescription lenses.”

2. S.E.A. Diving Bali

Address: Jl. Pecatu, Kec. Kuta Sel., Kabupaten Badung, 80361
Contact Details: +62 821-4566-4769
Operating Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Saturday to Sunday: 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
South East Asia Diving, or the S.E.A Diving Bali, focuses on eco-friendly diving practices that protect coral reefs from plastic. They spearhead several programs that educate both locals and expats on proper diving techniques and marine conservation.
Like ZERO GRAVITY DIVING, clients here are required to undergo a scuba diving course for beginners before even setting foot near the ocean. These are done in pools while being guided by a PADI-certified dive instructor.
Their trips cover several distinct locations, including Padang Bai and Kubu. My favorite is the World-Famous USAT Liberty Wreck, which is just 40 meters deep and suitable for divers of any experience level.
Other notable locations are the caves and coral gardens scattered across the island’s seabed. Clients can even see shrimps, whale sharks, and giant manta rays while exploring with them.
However, I noticed that their instructors are not fluent in English, which may make it difficult for expats.
We enjoyed a wonderful dive trip to Nusa Penida
“We enjoyed wonderful divetrip to Nusa Penida, easy booking on homepage some days before, good equipment, tested just before trip, communication with whatsapp, dive master made everything clear and safety, Speedboat with toilet, diveguide with 4 divers, we highly recommend this team. We have seen 7th november many Big mantas, turtles, beautiful corals and many reef fishes – great 👍”

Had a magical manta experience with these guys
“Had a magical manta experience with these guys! My dive guide Coyak was highly knowledgeable and entertaining too which made the whole experience really memorable.
We were at Manta Point (loads of mantas honestly, too many to count), Crystal Bay (unfortunately didn’t see molas!) and Mangrove Point off Nusa Lembongan.
Mangrove Point was surprisingly beautiful. I’d not heard of it before this but vis was 20-30m at least and the corals were so healthy! Also abundance of wildlife including turtles and pufferfish. They also send you photos and videos if you don’t have your own dive camera. Big thanks to the team for this 5 star experience 🔆”

3. Dune Bali

Address: 77W4+3RP, Jl. Bypass Ngurah Rai.96E, Sanur Kauh, Sanur, Denpasar Selatan, Kota Denpasar, 80228
Contact Details: +62 812-3805-767
Operating Hours: Monday to Sunday: 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM
With over 20 years of experience, Dune Bali offers guests 4 activities. Aside from diving, they also offer courses, snorkeling, and safari services to complement.
Their dives take you across Bali, from Tulamben all the way to Amed, showcasing the biodiverse beauty of the island. These, alongside the snorkeling and safari experiences, are all guided by an experienced and certified diver.
Dives with them cost around IDR 2,400,000 to IDR 2,560,000 per trip, which is honestly cheaper than others.
While I was disappointed that they don’t offer PADI diving courses at Dune, I found their emergency first response course to be useful in terrifying situations. Additionally, their equipment is top-tier and uses NITROX, which provides longer immersion time.
They have two boats, Atlantis 1 and 2, which are used to reach locations inaccessible by bus.
Amazing diving shop
“Amazing diving shop! The staff is incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable. They know each diving site very well, handle unexpected situations very well, and make the diving experience fun!
I had the opportunity to dive with the co-owner of the shop along with Dharma who was our guide. Since the other divers were much more experienced than me (some had over 25 years of diving experience), I couldn’t keep up with them in terms of keeping my air as I was breathing too much during some parts of the dive where we had some moderate currents. They handled the situation so well, I ended up diving with the co-owner who was such an incredible person. Overall, this was the best diving shop I have dived with so far over the past two years with close to sixty dives in many countries.
I would HIGHLY recommend this diving center as it’s amazing! Food served during lunch was also delicious, and most importantly the people are amazing and very professional! Felt very safe and fun!”

Everything was arranged in detail
“We’ve had an amazing experience completing our PADI open water course at Dune! Everything was arranged in detail, good course, amazing diving locations, good and safe equipment. Also a special thanks to our diving instructor Carla! She made the course just that more fun and enjoyable! Definitely coming back for our advanced owd course in the future!!”

Contact Details: +62 818-1892-9111
Operating Hours: Monday to Sunday: 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Bali Fun Diving is a certified and licensed scuba diving operator by PADI and the SSI. They offer reliable scuba diving courses that truly help clients train for the uncompromising currents.
They have several dive sites across Bali, located on the east, southeast, and west coasts. My favorite among them is the Kubu Shipwreck and Candidasa, since these are rarely explored by other diving operators.
Dives with them often reach up to 30 meters, and clients are offered 2 to 3 dives per site. These are scheduled on separate days or completed in a single day, depending on available packages.
Pricing varies significantly. Some cost as little as IDR 2,500,000, while others can reach up to IDR 4,950,000. These often include 3 full days of diving.
However, some clients found it difficult to cancel or reschedule dives.
We will be using them again next year when we are back
“I have used Bali Fun Diving for the last month and I can highly recommend using them. From the offset the communication and service have been exceptional. The staff and crew go out of their way to make sure you have the best experience regardless of your level. My partner completed her first qualified open water dives with them and I have dived all over the world and have alot of experience. The crew are very friendly and trustworthy. They were very attentive and went out of their way to make sure you have an amazing dive experience. The dive centre is clean, tidy and professionally run. The equipment is high quality – which my partner used and I had my own kit which they washed for me after each day of diving.
They provide a transport service to and from the centre for a small charge which was very helpful for us. Theres snacks and refreshments on arrival and the food and drinks provided for the trip were really tasty.
I cant fault them at all and id struggle to find suggestions for improvement.
We will be using them again next year when we are back!
Thank you Bali Fun Diving 💛”

Great coaching, tailored feedback during the dive
“Great coaching, tailored feedback during the dive, and attention to each diver.
My wife and I had the help of Sana (blue suit and fins) during our dive, who helped my wife manage currents that were too strong for her, overcome all sorts of challenges and issues, and have a fantastic and safe experience overall.
Sana and the team are deeply knowledgeable about the best spots to dive as well as all potential dangers involved in diving.”

5. Adventure Scuba Diving Bali

Contact Details: +62 877-6010-2000

Adventure Scuba Diving is best for beginners and first-time explorers. I found them easy to book, and they can help clients earn their PADI diving license through their courses.
While they operate at only 4 dive sites, each offers a distinct experience. My favourite of these is Padang Bai, which is suitable for all. It comprises the Blue Lagoon and Jepun, which offer natural and artificial reefs that support a wide array of marine life.
As for pricing, they are quite reasonable. A dive with them costs around IDR 1,000,000 to IDR 2,500,000. For those seeking a PADI license alongside their dive, the cost ranges from IDR 4,150,000 to IDR 5,349,000.
Clients won’t even have to worry about accommodation when hiring them as Adventure Scuba Diving is connected with Green Palms Resort.
All of the staff we were able to meet were fantastic
“I did three days of diving with them my partner was getting her open water certification. So the first day I went solo with Raz. Raz was fantastic instructor and very knowledgeable about the wildlife we were seeing on each dive.
I hit three different sites over three days. 2 dives the first and second day and three on the third. My partners first day was a pool day but she accompanied us the following days and did the same dives with her instructor.
Overall it was a great value we got 12 dives altogether and she got certified for around $1000. The sites we visited were noy easy to get to but we’re extremely unique.
All of the staff we were able to meet were fantastic. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable and genuinely has a passion for what they do. I thoroughly enjoyed our time with Adventure Scuba Diving and would highly recommend them for anyone looking to dive Bali.”

A huge shoutout to Jakub — he is a fantastic instructor! He’s incredibly professional, patient and made me feel completely safe throughout the dives. His knowledge of the local marine life is impressive.
