Get Back to Feeling Your Best with the 5 Best Osteopaths in Bali
A few months ago, I was exploring Bali’s temples and beaches, and my back was really sore. I thought I would just have to tough it out, but a friend suggested seeing an osteopath.
I was unsure at first, but after just one session, I felt a big difference. My posture improved, and the tension in my body began to melt away. That’s when I realized how important a good osteopath can be.
So, if you’re like me and want to keep exploring without aches and tension, here are the best osteopaths in Bali who can help you feel balanced and ready for your next adventure.
How much does a session with an osteopath cost in Bali?
A session with an osteopath in Bali typically costs between IDR 300,000 and IDR 700,000 (approximately $20-$45).
Prices vary based on the clinic, the treatment, and the osteopath’s expertise. Some clinics give discounts for multi-session bookings, which is great if you need ongoing care.
1. Bodhicitta Acupuncture & Holistic Healing Bali

Location: Jl. Merta Agung No.53, Kerobokan, Kec. Kuta Utara, Kabupaten Badung
Contact: +6281388834499
Opening Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
I first stumbled upon Bodhicitta Acupuncture & Holistic Healing Bali after a friend raved about how it helped her persistent neck pain disappear. The clinic is run by Gede, whom many patients described as highly proactive and experienced.
Bodhocitta specializes in Japanese acupuncture for adults, children, and pregnant clients. I appreciate that they also offer smart cosmetic acupuncture and holistic healing sessions.
Treatments often combine moxibustion and emotional or energetic release. All of these with a focus on chronic pain and emotional balancing. Many patients have frequently highlighted Gede’s top-notch tailored approach and the immediate relief it provides.
Prices are reasonable too. As a matter of fact, many patients mentioned services typically range from IDR 400,000 to 800,000 ($25-$55), with multi-session packages available.
On the downside, while package pricing is available, a few visitors felt that details about treatment plans or specific protocols could be more transparent from the onset.
Deeply intuitive and incredibly skilled
“If you’re looking for the best acupuncturist in Bali, look no further! I traveled everywhere around the world, I have done acupuncture everywhere even in China and nothing compares to his treatments. I had the absolute pleasure of being treated by Gede, and I can honestly say it was one of the best healing experiences of my life. He is not only a master in the art of acupuncture but also deeply intuitive and incredibly skilled. He took the time to truly listen to my concerns, tailoring the session to address both my physical symptoms and overall well-being. His technique are very unique made me feel completely relaxed, and I could feel the healing effects almost instantly. After just a few sessions, my chronic pain was significantly reduced, and I felt more balanced and energized than I had in years. What sets him apart is his genuine care and passion for his patients’ healing journey. He approaches every session with the utmost professionalism and a deep knowledge of acupuncture and holistic health. Whether you’re dealing with stress, pain, or looking to improve your overall wellness, I cannot recommend him highly enough. This is truly a transformative experience that you won’t want to miss while in Bali!”

Very welcoming with good energy
“I wanted to wait a few days before leaving a review to make sure it really worked, and here we are. I came with really bad knee pain that was disturbing me a lot during my yoga practice (I even stopped for a month because of the pain), and I also had headaches and ear problems. First of all, the place is really cute and the owner is very welcoming with good energy. I felt comfortable and trusted him, even though I was scared of the needles (it is actually not painful at all, and even really relaxing when he burns them). Right after, it was still painful for the rest of the afternoon! But the next day, I woke up, went to yoga, and no pain! It was crazy. Then I went to many other sessions expecting the pain to come back, but it still hasn’t! Now I can practice normally. In just one session! It was my first time trying acupuncture, and I will continue with it for sure! Thank you so much, Boddicita, for everything. 🙏🏽✨”

2. The Anatomy School

Location: 108 Devis Place, Jl. Penestanan Kelod, Sayan, Kecamatan Ubud, Kabupaten Gianyar
Contact: +6281238316586
Opening Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- Saturday to Sunday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
While I was searching for osteopathy and movement education in Bali, I found The Anatomy School. It was founded by Rachel Ellery, a UK-trained osteopath and pilates rehab instructor with over 26 years of experience.
Rachel is also a frequent lecturer at yoga teacher trainings and wellness events, earning a strong reputation among anatomy educators. The school offers both online and offline anatomy courses, as well as private osteopathy and body alignment sessions.
I particularly like their workshops because they’re highly interactive. They blend hands-on learning with engaging stories and clinical insights to create a comprehensive learning experience.
Plus, I appreciate that Rachel’s forte is translating complex anatomical concepts into practical movement solutions.
However, course fees are expensive, depending on the program. Private sessions cost around IDR 800,000 to IDR 1.2 million.
Besides that, some beginners find the course information-dense, making it harder to absorb and follow the material.
Most incredible experience
“I had the most incredible experience with Rachel. From the moment I walked in, I felt completely at ease. The treatment environment was warm, welcoming, and comfortable, which made it easy to relax. What really stood out, though, was how attentive and insightful Rachel was. She took the time to listen to my concerns thoroughly and asked all the right questions, making me feel heard and understood. Her knowledge and expertise were evident throughout the session. By the end of the session, I felt completely different-relieved, lighter, and more aligned. The changes in my body were immediate, and I left feeling like a new person!
What I appreciated most was how personable and friendly Rachel was. She created such a safe and trusting environment, which made the whole experience even more effective. I truly cannot recommend Rachel enough. Highly, highly recommend!”

Very effective
“I was a student of Rachel’s during a yoga training last year. Anatomy was the subject I knew I would find most difficult to engage with and understand. Despite this, after our first week of classes I was deeply grateful that we had Rachel as our teacher – she is gem, truly. Her passion for anatomy is infectious – you can’t help but be deeply engrossed in the complexities of human form and how our make-up affects our day to day lives. Her personal approach (e.g. using anecdotes to contextualise information) is very effective – you effortlessly absorb the lesson of each story she shares. If you want to learn how people can embody their anatomy, Rachel is the way. Most importantly, her anatomy-themed outfits are a must-see.”

3. Osteo Canggu

Location: Jl. Uma Sridana No.3, Kerobokan, Canggu, Kec. Kuta Utara, Kabupaten Badung
Contact: +6281284315209
Opening Hours:
- Monday to Sunday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Another osteopath clinic I found is Osteo Canggu, led by Pau, a French licensed osteopath with nine years of clinical experience. While Bali does not have strict local regulations for osteopathy, Pau’s European training gives him strong clinical credibility.
In terms of services, Osteo Canggu specializes in structural alignment, chronic pain management, and sports injuries.
The clinic also has accessible locations in Canggu, Ubud, and Uluwatu. They all offer services such as biomechanics, visceral manipulation, and craniosacral therapy.
Standard sessions range from IDR 800,000 to IDR 1.2 million, which puts them on the higher side. The good thing is that they offer discounts for multisession packages and customizable programs tailored to chronic pain or postural correction.
Some clients also mentioned that the clinic’s medical style environment can feel less personal.
Remarkably positive
“After years of living with chronic lower back and hip pain, I decided to see Pau, hoping to finally overcome my symptoms and avoid surgery. Over the past two years, I received occasional treatments from him, noticing improvements but also relapses. That’s why I decided to spend two months in Bali, receiving weekly continuous treatment from Pau and his team of osteopaths with the goal of creating a structural change and re-educating my body on a biomechanical level. The results have been remarkably positive — I no longer suffer from chronic pain, and thanks to his recommendations, I’ve been able to maintain an active, sporty lifestyle with a new level of body awareness. Now, I don’t believe in limitations, only in possibilities, as long as I apply the awareness the doctor has taught me. I am truly grateful, and from now on, his therapies will be part of my lifestyle to support my body’s condition and give me the best possible quality of life. On top of that, the fact that Osteo Bali is located throughout the island made my process even easier — wherever I go, I can receive treatment. Thank you Osteo Ubud and Osteo Canggu! Looking forward to seeing you at Osteo Uluwatu soon!”

Really calm and attentive way of working
“I’ve been to see Pau a few times now for osteopathic treatments and every session has been such a positive experience. He has a really calm and attentive way of working, and I always felt that he took the time to really listen and understand what my body needed. Not only did I feel physical relief after each treatment, but also a sense of being cared for beyond just the symptoms. There’s something very grounding about his approach – professional, effective, but also very human. I’m so grateful to have found him here in Canggu. Highly recommended if you’re looking for someone who combines deep knowledge with genuine care.”

4. Sculptor

Location: 55JR+V23, Benoa, South Kuta, Badung Regency
Contact: +6285191378917
Opening Hours:
- Monday to Saturday: 12:30 PM – 9:30 PM
I wanted professional help to regain strength and address pelvic floor issues. That’s when I discovered Sculptor. They’re a Bali-based clinic specializing in women’s health, pain management, and musculoskeletal recovery.
What I like more is that their team includes physiotherapists, pelvic health specialists, and osteo-trained manual therapists. All of whom specialize in postpartum and pelvic rehabilitation.
Plus, their private sessions combine advanced manual techniques, such as fascia therapy, muscle activation, and therapist-guided exercises. These techniques are also what make them shine in the eyes of their customers for their efficacy.
Unlike typical massages, Sculptor’s approach focuses on measurable improvement in pain relief, pelvic function, and posture after just a few sessions.
While the price range of IDR 600,000 to IDR 1.2 million may seem higher than a typical spa treatment, customers swear by their clinical style.
But since they focus on clinically driven therapy, some clients noted it’s not a spa-like experience. As a result, the clinical technical approach can feel intense.
Clean, professional, and reasonably priced
“As a mother of two, I struggled with severe vaginal pain after childbirth, along with minor stress incontinence. I was desperate for relief but didn’t know where to turn—until I found Sculp’tor. Ladies, let me tell you: you won’t find anything like this anywhere else on the island! After just one session, my vaginal pain was completely gone. After two more sessions—plus the home exercises they recommended—my pelvic pressure normalized, and my incontinence disappeared. Beyond the incredible results, the clinic itself is clean, professional, and reasonably priced. But what truly stood out to me was their kind and genuinely caring attitude. They didn’t just treat me—they made me feel heard and supported every step of the way. If you’re struggling with similar issues, don’t wait.”

The most gentle one I’ve ever had
“I make jewelry. Neck pain is my regular issue. Had a manual therapy with Sculp’tor. Was pleasantly surprised by a very specific testing. Spot on! Therapist identified and named specific muscles that were in disfunction. Clear points on postural connections to my neck problem. Now. Its not a massage, guys. Treatment was flowing. Focused muscle energy techniques (they even reached me a couple!), focused articulations. Stretching. Fascial unwinding. I was asked (!!!) if I give permission for one thoracic spine adjustment – and it was the most gentle one Ive ever had. Came with pain about 7 out of 10. Left with pain about 1-2. Had two more sessions with them after. Its is THE PLACE if you have acute or ongoing pain/ tension. Best of luck Sculptor! Keep on serving.”

5. OBAT (Optimal Body Alignment Training)

Location: Unnamed Road, Munggu, Kec. Mengwi, Kabupaten Badung
Opening Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Another osteopathy option I found is OBAT (Optimal Body Alignment Training), run by Ariadna Bejiga. She’s a qualified osteopath from Barcelona with over eight years of experience in structural alignment and injury recovery.
I appreciate how this clinic focuses on personalized care, offering sessions at home or online. This meant you would receive a tailored exercise plan and long-term follow-up that emphasized structural improvement rather than just quick relief.
The pricing is also transparent, starting at IDR 300,000 per session for Basic Care and increasing to IDR 1,200,000 for Personalized Care. They also have a top-tier customer-favorite Elite Care at IDR 1,725,000 per session.
I found these rates fair, especially given the personalized support and ongoing attention I receive.
However, as a small clinic run by a single practitioner, I have noticed that availability can be limited. While that was a bit inconvenient at times, I appreciated the one-on-one attention.
I can’t say enough amazing things
“I can’t say enough amazing things about Ari. I have a ton of injuries from the past. Many people through out the years have been able to provide me with relief but weren’t able to fix many of my problems permanently. I did not know what Osteopathy was until I met Ari. She explained to me that she needs to find the root cause of the problem in order to fix a lot of my problems. The first session with her was incredible. She focused on my neck and shoulders and when she was done it felt like I had a full body deep tissue message. I felt amazing. I decided to to see her once a week and follow her guidance. I’ve been seeing her for about two moths now. Since then I have recovered from one of my two year old injuries on my left arm. The rest of my problems from many years ago are also looking good. She is incredible. A true professional in her field that is driven to helping people overcome their broken bodies. I feel amazing. Thanks Ari. You are awesome.”

Thorough and gifted professional
“After struggling with ongoing neck and back issues, I was carrying a fair amount of pain and lack of mobility. I then met Ari Bejiga and what an amazing turn around. Ari is a qualified Osteo so she did a more holistic assessment than I was used to and found mostly my issues were to do with lack of alignment and referred pain. After even the first treatment I felt much more comfortable. No more dizzy spells and was able to move freely without pain. I have no hesitation recommending Ari. She is a very thorough and gifted professional. Thanks Ari 🙏🏻”
