Train Smarter and Level Up Your Game with the Top 5 Badminton Coaches in Bali
Badminton might look effortless when the pros play, but anyone who’s stepped onto the court knows it takes skill and strategy to improve. Whether you’re training for a game or simply trying to level up, having the right coach makes all the difference.
I realized this myself after weeks of casual play that didn’t seem to improve my footwork or shot consistency. It wasn’t until I trained with a proper coach that I understood how much technique, positioning, and game awareness matter.
That’s why finding the right guidance is key. A great badminton coach doesn’t just feed you drills; they refine your form and help you play smarter. So, I’ve rounded up the best badminton coaches in Bali who can help take your skills to the next level.
How much do badminton coaches charge in Bali?
In Bali, badminton coaches typically charge from IDR 150,000 to IDR 500,000 per session, depending on the coach’s experience, session length, and whether it’s private or group training. Package deals and monthly training programs may offer better value for regular students.
1. Jayaprana Badminton Center

Address: Jl. Lange V No.9, Pemecutan Klod, Kec. Denpasar Bar., Kota Denpasar, 80119
Contact: +62 817 867 070
Operating Hours:
- Monday to Sunday: 8:00 AM – 11:00 PM
What struck me about Jayaprana Badminton Center was how they make structured badminton training feel both professional and accessible. Their sessions cater to all skill levels, from beginners working on footwork to intermediate players refining technique and match strategy.
I tried a private coaching session, and was impressed by how the coaches balanced drills, gameplay, and personal feedback.
The courts were well-maintained, with proper ventilation and an organized scheduling system that minimized conflicts. Plus, usage limits make rescheduling smooth.
The center’s rental rates are also affordable, from IDR 60,000 to IDR 100,000/hour depending on time. This makes it accessible for most players. However, a 10% local tax is added to fees, which might catch first-time visitors by surprise.
But what sold me were the extra perks: free premium towel and racket rentals if you forget yours, plus a well-stocked shop for shuttlecocks, grips, and socks. And who doesn’t love discounts? You actually get 10% off when you book online and 15% off fees when you leave a review.
Modern, well-ventilated, and very well set up
“Jayaprana sports hall is pretty much as good a standard as you will get (imo) it is modern, clean, well ventilated, bright and very well set up. My partner and I booked an hour slot, very good value for 60k idr, they stock everything you need from foot wear through to shuttle cocks. It’s easy to find and worth the journey from Seminyak to appreciate the quality of the environment and it attracts a range of performance level players from beginners to semi pro, so you will be sure to be inspired.”

It’s a great place to spend time exercising with friends
“A comfortable badminton center. I first found it through an ad on TikTok, so we decided to try reserving a court to play with friends for two hours. In my opinion, the area is pleasant, with good lighting and air circulation that doesn’t feel stuffy or hot. The parking area is spacious, and the toilet and shower facilities are comfortable. There’s also a small cafeteria that sells drinks and snacks. Didn’t bring a racket? No problem—rackets are available for rent at the cafeteria, and shuttlecocks can be purchased individually. It’s a great place to spend time exercising with friends while having fun and sharing laughs.”

My cousin recently enrolled her kids at Karmayoga Badminton Center, and I was lucky enough to watch a session in action.
Registration is simple. It costs IDR 100,000 and includes a jersey plus merchandise. This is very affordable for most families and aspiring players. They also have monthly coaching fees priced at IDR 300,000, making training more accessible for many.
Karmayoga’s structured programs are a huge plus if you want consistent skill development. They offer lessons from beginner to advanced levels, specially designed for children and teenagers.
Training focuses on footwork, techniques, and conditioning. They also shed light on game strategy, all guided by professional coaches in a supportive environment.
What I really like is their flexibility. You can choose private or semi-private sessions, and they provide free hand towels. These are little touches that make the experience smooth and easy.
The facility itself was clean, well-ventilated, and had ceiling insulation to manage temperatures. Staff also ensure that washrooms are tidy and waiting spaces are comfortable for parents.
A small catch: their programs are mostly youth-focused. Adult players may need to check separately if private coaching is available.

Also, players who renew their membership get a free 2-hour play voucher. The loyalty card rewards frequent visitors with freebies after a certain number of games. It’s a fun way to keep regulars engaged.

Their semi-indoor court keeps the session cool and well-ventilated. Also, their experienced coaches guide players throughout the day.

What’s neat is the club’s attention to amenities. They have clean changing areas, seating for spectators, and organized scheduling. This makes it easy for parents or friends to stay comfortable while watching.
One downside is that they don’t offer structured youth programs. This can be important for those wanting progressive coaching specifically for teens and the younger generation.
