The 5 Best Greek Restaurants in Bali That’ll Transport You to the Heart of Santorini

  • Quality of Food/Drinks: We reviewed dining spots known for their authentic flavors, tasty recipes, and good variety to keep diners happy and satisfied.
  • Ambiance: We preferred restaurants with either a lively or a cozy atmosphere and pleasant decor, catering to most individuals or groups.
  • Service: We prioritized options with a friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive staff to keep customers comfortable.
  • Wait Times: We selected those that can provide reservations or fast seating, as well as timely orders, to ensure efficient service.

As someone who constantly thinks about food and craves something different, I got curious one day—could Bali really pull off authentic Greek flavors? At first, I just winged it. I wandered into random seaside spots after a fishing trip and chased the smell of grilled meat and seafood around.

But that approach didn’t work so well. I only ended up at places that looked flashy and felt more like fine dining restaurants than cozy Greek tavernas.

So, I started asking other travelers, chatting with expats, and even dragging my buddies onto this. That got us a much more reliable list. If you’re also a curious foodie who wants to taste the real thing, check out our top picks for Greek restaurants in Bali below.

Formerly known as Warung Souvlaki, Santorini Greek Restaurant is an authentic, family-run Greek restaurant founded in 2011 by the owner, whom they call “mum Nitsa.”

Some of our favorite classic Greek mains here are souvlaki (skewered, grilled meat), gyros (rotisserie-style sliced meat), and loukoumades (traditional donuts with ice cream).

You can expect around IDR 350,000 to IDR 600,000 for two, which includes 2 starters, 2 mains, and non-alcoholic drinks. Conveniently, their rates are generally considered lower than those of similar spots.

We also believe this place is great to visit after sunset. Since they’re at Double Six Beach, they create a lively vibe for casual dates or hangouts—meaning bright white-and-blue “Greek island” tones rather than minimalist interiors.

But since they’re centrally located for tourists, expect traffic and parking to be a hassle sometimes, especially in the evening. It’s best to plan ahead to avoid the hassle.

Pros

  • Family-run with friendly service
  • Serves authentic Greek dishes
  • Generous mains and starters
  • Lively beachside vibe
  • Keeps prices lower than rivals
  • Great for casual dates or hangouts

Cons

  • Crowded during peak tourist hours
  • Occasional traffic and parking issues

Business Hours:

Opened in 2016, Nostimo is a Greek-owned restaurant that offers authentic grilled dishes and Mediterranean flavors in an island-style setting. Nostimo means “delicious” in Greek, and the staff uses traditional recipes passed down through generations.

Notable dishes include their mixed grill platters with big portions—recommended for first-timers who can’t decide on anything specific yet. Other bestsellers are the moussaka (eggplant lasagna) and galaktoboureko (traditional custard pie).

Dining here can cost you around IDR 300,000 to IDR 450,000 for 2, depending on drinks and treats. This range is considered reasonably to moderately priced compared to similar dining spots in Bali.

Just keep in mind that their dessert list is shorter than that of more sweet-focused venues. If you want more options, it’s wise to check other options first.

In addition, we find the highchairs and free Wi-Fi convenient for families and groups wanting to get more comfortable. We love the entertainment here, as they have live music several days a week.

You could walk in, but we recommend reserving online. Many guests book in advance, especially for peak dinner and rooftop or sunset tables.

Pros

  • Serves authentic Greek family recipes
  • Generous mixed grill platters
  • Keeps prices reasonably mid-range
  • Relaxed island-style atmosphere
  • Has live music on select nights
  • Has high chairs and free Wi-Fi
  • Takes bookings for popular tables

Cons

  • Limited dessert options
  • Can fill up quickly during peak dinner hours

Pallas Greek Taverna specializes in modern Greek dishes with locally sourced meats and seafood. They’ve been using high-quality fresh ingredients for platters and wraps that highlight Mediterranean zest since 2023.

We think their strength lies in creative, shareable platters, such as souvlaki (skewered grilled meat). Other crowd favorites here are grilled octopus and baklava (layered phyllo pastry) with cashew nuts.

For 2 people sharing dips or salads with 2 platters and drinks, dining here can set you back around IDR 400,000 to IDR 800,000. Do note that this is slightly higher than street eateries, reflecting their high-class positioning within the Blue-Zea Resort.

As a consolation, some people we spoke to love their happy hour deals. This involves “buy 2 get 1 free drink” promos on set hours around lunch and early dinner.

Not only that, but we also appreciate their fun resort location. There’s lively chatter under strong lights, with sleek resort landscaping and infinity pool views nearby.

Pros

  • Uses fresh, locally sourced ingredients
  • Serves creative shareable platters
  • Offers happy hour drink promos
  • Lively resort-style ambiance
  • Overlooks scenic infinity pool views

Cons

  • Pricier than many street eateries
  • Gets noisy during busy hours

The restaurant is spotless, and the food is authentic and fresh

“We have been here twice in 5 days. What a great find. Attached to the Blu Zea Resort.

The restaurant is spotless, the food is authentic and fresh. Very well priced too.

Then there is the staff – led by Bobi. Lucky smiles are free because we would have run out of cash. Everyone was just a pleasure to speak with. Nothing was a problem. We celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary there, all the staff joined in. Left us with great memories. Thank you Bobi and your team!”

The chicken was so tender and very tasty

“I had chicken souvlaki and was very, hey pleased the chicken was so tender and very tasty.  And I had the cheese that I can never remember how to pronounce the name, but it was also really really nice. My waiter was super polite, and attentive. Definitely give it a shot if you’re in the area. Parking can be hard, so walk or take a scooter. Do not come by car unless you have a driver or being dropped off by right here.”

4. CHORA

chora

Address: Jl. Bisma No.70, Ubud, Kecamatan Ubud, Kabupaten Gianyar

Contact Details:

Business Hours:

  • Daily: 8:00 am to 11:00 pm

Website

If you’re a health enthusiast, CHORA highlights a select Greek-Mediterranean menu of refined dishes infused with traditional Mykonos-style flavors. They set themselves apart by nourishing both body and spirit.

Established around 2022, they’re popular for their fresh seafood display—lobster, prawn, and fish. Some also raved to us about the tzatziki (garlicky yogurt-cucumber dip) and their chocolate-and-ginger mousse.

A meal for 2 can cost you around IDR 800,000 to IDR 1,500,000, including drinks. This is typically a mid-to-high price range for Ubud—not necessarily for budget diners.

Nonetheless, we love the artistic gallery vibes at the restaurant. We reckon this isn’t so common in other, more casual Greek dining spots.

The only thing we’re iffy about is that some dishes might have small or inadequate portions. We advise asking the staff about this beforehand, as it might be underwhelming for some customers.

Pros

  • Serves refined Greek-Mediterranean dishes
  • Highlights fresh seafood selections
  • Provides artistic gallery-style ambience
  • Emphasizes health-focused dining

Cons

  • Some portions might be considered small
  • Less suitable for budget diners

Our meals were simple yet elegant, intentional, and fresh

“Warm, unhurried, and inviting. Our meals were simple yet elegant everything felt intentional and fresh. While in Ubud we went twice, once for afternoon apps and a second time for dinner.”

-Brogan Wilson, Google Review

An evening when you hanker after easy, familiar luxury

“A beautiful, cosmopolitan high end place. The food is delicious but expensive. Feels very international so:safe but not as grounded in its local culture as you may wish for. This is for an evening when you hanker after easy, familiar luxury. The service is outstanding”

5. Noema

noema

Address: Jl. Suweta No.6, Ubud, Kecamatan Ubud, Kabupaten Gianyar

Contact Details:

Business Hours:

  • Daily: 12:00 pm to 10:30 pm

Website

Noema brings authentic charcoal-grilled Greek BBQ to Bali in a simple, chic setting.

Launched around 2023, they share cozy meals over fancy tech or gimmicks.

More specifically, the crew uses their family recipes with quality meats grilled traditionally. Think juicy skewers that feel like home cooking in Greece, not just fusion experiments.

In our view, their best dishes are grilled meats, such as kontosouvli (spit-roasted pork). Patrons also praise their lamb chops and chocolate kormas (crumbled biscuits).

Plus, it’s great that they sometimes provide free dessert surprises for guests. This showcases their hospitality, which we bet earns them a lot of regulars.

For a couple of meals, you’ll have to prepare around IDR 600,000 to IDR 1,400,000. Honestly, it’s pretty standard for Ubud’s tourist core. Still, for some, this is noticeably pricier than local cafes.

Also, a client we spoke with noted their “basic-looking” interiors. They lack the gardens of fancier places, so they don’t offer the wow factor you might expect for Instagram-ready photos.

Pros

  • Offers authentic charcoal-grilled Greek BBQ
  • Uses their traditional family recipes
  • High-quality meats
  • Surprises guests with free desserts
  • Warm, cozy experience

Cons

  • Lacks lush or Instagram-style ambiance
  • Charges more than local cafes
