2. Tropical Entertainment Bali (Tropical Kids Bali)

Address: Mertasari St, Sanur Kauh, Sanur, Denpasar Selatan, Kota Denpasar, 80228,
Contact Details: +62 857-9042-4610
Operating Hours: Monday to Sunday: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Tropical Entertainment Bali is suitable for children aged 3 months to 6 years. Founded in 2018, they operate in small 4:1 classes, giving each student the time they need to learn. Additionally, they are allowed to socialize, which promotes a fun environment.
I appreciate that classes are split across 7 age groups. Most classes are held with parents and their children, except for those for children ages 3-5.
For older children, the school offers three levels of classes, ranging from beginner to preliminary. Additionally, there are private classes and classes for children with special needs, which I highly value.
Clients adore their swim and survival programs. These teach students the basics of water safety and survival skills in case they find themselves in emergency situations.
However, locations may change because they don’t own a dedicated location.
Highly recommend Tropical Kids Bali
“Highly recommend Tropical Kids Bali. We moved to Bali over 2 years ago and both my young children couldn’t swim at the time. I was nervous mostly about pool safety as pools are not required to have safety fences and gates here, and I worried frequently about accidental drowning. Coach Rian would come to our home every Saturday and teach the kids pool safety and how to swim. It’s been really great and now I feel confident both kids are able to handle themselves in the water.”

3. Playful Pods

Contact Details: +62 821-3535-1308
Operating Hours: Monday to Sunday: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Classes at Playful Pods are led by Yogi Erickson Sidabutar, who has taught for over 12 years.
Playful Pods is best suited for those seeking a 1:1 session. But due to this limitation, the services may not be suitable for larger families. Still, I appreciate that the team works with children ages 3 and up and also caters to adults.
Classes here are split between age groups. Students are taught the basics of floating, kicking, and paddling. Additionally, they are trained to control their breathing underwater.
Fees are fairly reasonable at around IDR 200,000, and each class lasts for 1 hour. Additionally, these are done in English, so expats and their families are more than welcome to avail Yogi’s services.
He holds several certifications from recognized swimming and diving organizations, including PADI and the Indonesian Swimming Association. Yogi also has training in first aid and CPR from Siloam Hospital, underscoring his commitment to his students.
Our daughters’ confidence in the water has significantly improved
“We had the pleasure of having Mr. Yogi teach our 3 and 4-year-old children how to swim, and we couldn’t be happier with the private lessons experience. Mr. Yogi was incredibly professional, patient, and punctual – always arriving on time for each lesson. He provided us with daily feedback on our kids’ progress, along with helpful exercises to practice during the week to keep improving their skills.
Mr. Yogi’s techniques with children are outstanding. He has a wonderful way of speaking to and teaching young kids that kept our girls engaged and excited for each class. They loved having their lessons with him, especially because he brought along fun water toys and tools.
Thanks to Mr. Yogi, our daughters’ confidence in the water has significantly improved. They learned how to float, kick, and even get their faces in the water—all essential skills for young swimmers.
We would absolutely recommend Mr. Yogi. He is both professional and fun, making swimming lessons a wonderful experience for our children.”

We were very happy with Yogi’s approach
“Yogi taught our 5 year old son to swim whilst we were staying in Bali for 2 weeks. We were very happy with Yogi’s approach – being very friendly, patient and making each lesson fun. Our son was always looking forward to the next session, since he made a big effort to make lessons fun. He always comfortable in his company – able to trust him to tackle his insecurities in water.
Yogi always come on time (most of the time 10mins before the lesson start to set it up) and take time after the class to provide progress update.
Our son improved significantly from just 5 classes with Yogi. From not being able to even dip his head into the water to be able to swim with head down and floa! We were so glad to find Yogi!
Next time in Bali we wouldn’t hesitate to book him again and recommend him to others.
Thanks Yogi!”

I’ve taken their water safety class, which was a great way to learn what to do in an emergency. Additionally, several clients learned to swim without a board in just 3 sessions, underscoring their coaches’ dedication.
They even work with those who fear water, helping them overcome their fears one step at a time.
Let’s Swimming Bali even offers flexible scheduling, so clients don’t have to worry about missing a class. However, they don’t offer at-home classes for private lessons, so you will have to drive to them.

5. Studio Renang

Address: Jl. Gatot Subroto Tim. No.250, Tonja, Kec. Denpasar Tim., Kota Denpasar, 80234
Contact Details: +62 811-3988-012
Operating Hours:
- Tuesday to Friday: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Sunday: 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM
Founded in 2015, Studio Renang focuses on personal safety skills rather than simple swimming lessons. Classes are held in warm-water pools, allowing children to enjoy the experience without getting too cold.
They have over 50 outlets across Indonesia, which showcase their capabilities as a swimming lesson service.
It’s really nice that swimming lessons here can begin as early as 6 months old. Parents guide their children through either holding them or staying close to them. Each class has a maximum of 5 children and can last up to 30 minutes.
These classes are divided by age and focus on motor skills and breathing techniques. Despite these great services, classes aren’t held weekly, so expect schedules to shift.
Even so, I like that they own their pools, which is rare in the swimming lesson services industry. Each of their pools is well-maintained, with appropriate temperature and water quality.
The session was fun
“My daughter (7 m.o. at that time) enjoyed swimming thanks to the first free trial at studio renang. Now, she’s 10 m.o. and still attending lessons there.
Coach is super trained, he knows how to handle kids and parent calmly, and most importantly, the session was fun, my daughter was following the lesson until the end without drama, crying, etc. Definitely recommended for first timer babies, the pool is indoor and warm, with less chlorine.”
